We have four captains in our fully strengthened side (Carra, Gerrard, Mascherano and Torres) Captains don't mean muck. Mascherano was captain based on what?

Top, temporarily. We peaked too early and are heavily reliant on Gerrard.
      We are nowhere near peaking

Don't look like it too. Its so resemblant to the dark Houllier days with mediocre draws to ****ed off teams with players playing out of position and weird decisions and statements in the press. The players aren't confident and this result coupled with possibly United winning will invariably mean, we won't win the title. Soon as United get there, they will stay there because they have winners in their side unlike us who are a bunch of bottlers.

I agree. Now if we put out a ****ing team to play "football" rather than damage limitation, maybe we could peak.

            Plus Keane and Kuyt.

Captains dont mean muck? Their someone to look to for inspire the team in tough mental times which were gonna face in the coming months. We will win the league.

Captain of who? Crap players who get too much adulation for nothing?

Tough mental times? Somehow those captains didn't come through tonight or against West Ham, Fulham, Hull.

Surely there is enough to beat them? You are telling me that 20 mill on an over-rated paddy and fugly dutch bloke aren't enough? I take your point.

Strongest team against Preston and not the stongest team today ? What the ****.

Dirk is **** up front by himself. EVERYONE KNOWS THAT. So why do it ?

Lucas, you are ****ing useless lad, **** off.

Yossi, you are not good enough.

A sixty million pound bench ? What is the ****ing point ? Play them from the start Rafa. You ****ing bought these players. Use them.

                    NEVER BEEN THIS PISSED OFF.

If the mancs win tomorrow this weekend will go down as the turning point.

****s sake. What a ****ing waste.
agree about lucas and think you are being kind towards kuyt (i don't think he is any good in any position) and i understand your sentiments,it seems that every time we have the advantage rafa picks the wrong team, but if its any use i still think we will win the league, because the other teams are not that good, its just going to be that liverpool fc white knuckle ride that will make winning it all that more enjoyable.

Rafa didn't play, the blame is squarely with the players.
So the tactics of 2 holding midfielders, playing Kuyt upfront etc.. didn't work but blame the 11 players who started not Rafa.
Reina - Shakey and frankly looked scared.
Aurelio - Didn't get over the half way line once to help the attack
Carra - Usual solid performance, at least he tried to overlap and cross.
Hyppia - Back to his usual, painfully slow launch it upfield form.
Skrtel - So, so, just back from injury so excused.
Mascher - Rubbish, Lucas gets all the stick but he has been terrible all season.
Lucas - Poor game after beginning to show promise, was let down by Mascher imo
Reira - Flitted in and out, shouldn't have been taken off as tried to provide width
Benny - Worse than average, Gerrard nevers gets as much space when Benny plays as he is always wandering inside.
Gerrard - Didn't look interested, no effort, no inspiration
Kuyt - Not a striker as long as he's got a hole in his ass.

The players took the praise against Bolton and Newcastle so they take 100% of the blame for that performance, they followed up Rafa's attack with a spineless performance.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

Just keep shaking my head. I'd hoped our away form would see us through this and we could kick on and take this ****ing league by the neck. Now it's set up for Utd to win their three games in hand and hold a point lead over us - then they'll put their foot down.

I really, really hate to say it but the team selection was a ****ing joke tonight. I dont buy into this **** that the weaker teams in the league are getting stronger. We should never show a shower like Stoke the respect we have this season. One up front at home and away. Today we had the best part of £50m of international class strikers on the bench until 60 mins in. Even then we didn't use them both. I really hope Rafa knows something we dont, what else would explain the shocking line up we had out there today?

Let's hope Torres can dig us out of this malaise that seems to settle upon us when we're playing these ****ing wank teams

Strangely enough, we might still win the league.

It won't be because of Rafa though, more than likely in spite of Rafa. As long as Ronaldo's head is still in Madreamland, Tevez's career is uncertain and Rio continues to get back injuries plus Chelsea keep imploding we'll win it.

Kuyt up front on his own! Biggest and costliest mistake to keep making. I see Houllier all over again and that's a shame because Rafa is such a great manager otherwise.

I think this is now evident, if we win the league it will in large part be due to the inadequacies of our title rivals. The shame of it all is that this is our best chance in years to win the title, with all three of Chelsea, Arsenal and Man Utd being below par compared to previous years, yet Rafa is contriving to **** it up with cautious team selections and tactics and poor dealings in the transfer market. Kuyt as the lone striker and Mascher and Lucas paired in midfield?
