A sad feeling from last nights game.

Anyone else have that horrible and disappointing feeling watching us push forward but expecting nothing to come of it? We had Alonso, Gerrard, Riera, Torres and Keane on the field and Everton looked more promising to score than we did throughout the match.

Why wasn't that a penalty? Would be given at Old Toilet!

Why only two minutes of extra time? Old Toilet again, guaranteed 4-5 minutes!

Absolutely ****ing gutted... We gave away two points today, how about starting to earn your money, put in an effort, run till you puke, make it look like you care FFS!!

          AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHH HHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Hope we batter that useless bunch of thugs on Sunday!
I don't think we were playing consistently good football before the goal really. For me there seems something wrong with Alonso and Gerrard at the minute - they don't seem capable of controlling a game and we often seem to settle for a match situation where in the past they have pushed the team forwards or at least made us up our intensity. They aren't playing badly as individuals but they aren't leading the team in the way it needs to be led if we are to win a title. Giggs and Scholes have been excellent at doing this for United this year.

I made a point at the start of the Summer that I would have liked Rafa to bring in an older head who had won a league and I still think it is something we lack.

No point dragging up what he did for us ! The question is now, what will he do in the future ! After gerrard scored master should have been brought on ! Kuyt benny and Lucas are ****e pure ****e! If that cunt Lucas is young and learning his trade then loan the prick to stoke or Bolton don't put him on to a team trying to win the ****in league! His 2 subs cost us the game ! Lucas first foul, benny the second ! What did kuyt do to deserve 92 minutes? Run run run ahhhh **** of ! Major **** up by rafa and he has to hold his hand up and take full blame ! ****e performance ****e decisions ****e result ! Fucccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccccck !
I think the subs were in some ways the right decisions. The team at the end was one designed to keep possession and move the ball. The problem was that no one made that plan work. We were doing just as badly before the subs.

Obviously the fact the subs did nothing means that there will always seem to be better alternatives and maybe there were. It was a bad mistake by Yossi to go in for that challenge the way he did in the area he did it but I'm not convinced it was a problem that Rafa could have forseen.

The route cause of the problem to me is that unlike earlier in the season our central midfield doesn't push up or drive the team forward later in games. No idea what has changed but if we sorted that I think a lot of the other problems would solve themselves.

I heard something the other day about Tony Adams trying to bring in Patrick Viera on Loan. Is that the kind of player you are thinking of? Worth a punt?

It's an interesting call. I've not seen a great deal of him lately but in terms of mentality he is exactly what I mean.

Who could that be though? An ex gooner, an ex chav or an ex manc?

Likewise really. I remember him being pwned by Fabregas in the CL a couple of years ago, and did he even start when we played Inter ourselves? However he was a great player, certainly has the mentality as was proved by winning the league and during Keane battles with Keane. I'm pretty sure he hates the Mancs too - which would be a bonus

I didn't specify that it had to be the PL. I accept that it wasn't necessarily an easy criteria to get a player who fit.

Well, they won the FA Cup in 95, but I'm happy to let that ride as you've clearly worked yourself into a bit of a tizzy.
