We've already proven that we can beat the likes of the Chavs and the Scum.

The games that have defined our season are the likes of West Ham, Fulham and Stoke at home. Stoke and Wigan away.

Had we been able to win even two or three of those games we'd be top of the league, still.

Beating the Chavs on Sunday proves nothing.
He's not saying that beating Chelsea will 'prove' anything, he's just saying it's now very much last chance saloon, win or bust time in our title bid.

    And he's right.

im pissing against the wind but lets have a game we actually try to win it rather than avoid defeat
the natives are getting restless rafa ffs get them back on board or you could be outta the door sooner rather than later - and i take no pleasure in saying that never mind thinking it
Just out of curiosity - any reason why we wouldn't be battling for 4th?

If we lose on Sunday and United win their game in hand, they're 8 points ahead of us with 14 to play.

How realistic would it be, do you think, for them to lose 3 of those 14 and for us to win all 14?

who knows. no-one knows. which is my point. for all the people who have clearly stated "if we lose or draw we wont win the league" my question is why not?

manure could hit a poor run like we are in just now. we could quite easily hit form and win our reamining games. again no-one knows. they might not lose 3 of they're last 14 games but they could draw 7 of those games. possible.

all i'm looking for is for a bit of sense on here at times. untill it is mathematically impossible for us to win the league i'll still beleive the league is coming home this year.

No one 'knows' obviously, but we're all intelligent enough to conclude as to the levels of probabilities involved, arent we?

i'm not sure half the folk on here are intelligent enough.

the league is more competitive than ever before this year. united have still to play everton, spurs, villa, man city, arsenal and us to name a few teams. these are all hard games they could slip up on. if we beat them, arsenal beat them and city beat them then there are the 3 defeats u mentioned out of they're last 14 games.

So an unlikely 3 defeats. And us?

And it's just that simple, isnt it?

I didnt ask if it was possible for them to lose 3 games, i was talking about the probability of it happening. Which 99.99% of people would agree with.

Then you factor in the probability of us winning all of the last 14 games, and yet again, you're looking at a very small chance of both happening.

Or do you think it's 50/50?

i think you'll just disagree with whatever i say and look on the negative side. there is a 50/50 chance of that happening even though you were being sarcastic when you said it. 99.99% of people would have given us no chance of being top at xmas and new year but we did it. we probably should have beat fulham, everton, stoke spurs etc.... but didn't. manure prob should beat villa, spurs, arsenal etc... but they might not.

So you think there is a 50% chance of Man Utd losing 3 games AND us winning ALL of our final 14 games?

                          Is that what you're saying?

Right-oh mate. That'll be why the odds of it would be about a million to one

                                Chelsea build up

                                So, what are your thoughts?

Is Chelsea due a good hammering? 4-0 maybe?

Will we rest Gerrard, Torres and Reina as they are tired and we have Real Madrid coming up?

Hopefully we will line up like this:

                                ________________Reina

                                Arbeloa_____Carra______Skrtel_______Aurelio

                                Kuyt______Alonso_________Masch_______Riera

                                _________________Gerrard

                                ________________Torres

                                Hyypia
                                Agger

                                Keane
