I thought he had learned and left all that behind. Lord knows how much he will mess about with line ups etc once the CL starts again. He's still a great manager, but some seem to think he's infallible and immune to criticism, which is just plain idiotic.
See who exactly are those posters on here then? I don't see anyone going around saying Rafa is perfect or anything, but I see the same few constantly slagging him off.

Lets judge Benitez at the end of the season - I will guarantee we will come fourth after starting top in January. Its a simple joke - we mock Arsenal for their lack of mental strength, it seems our manager and the players have that same trait too. What will get me most is that Ferguson will win the title and equal our record.

He is not. But I do see where many are coming from. My biggest complaint under Houllier was that he talked too much about turning the corner. Lately Rafa has been acting in a similar fashion. It's all well and good talking but you need the results to back you up.

There is no need for Rafa to come out and make excuses for failing to win. We can all see that we have been he dominant team in games, we don't need to be told this. It's time to take a step back, keep his mouth shut and let his team do the talking on the pitch. A title is won and lost on the field, not in the press conference.

I can see why Rafa is talking as he wants to play this card to get what he wants. But it creates needless pressure on himself, though at least this takes it away from the team.

I know you will not agree, but I hope that we win today, Rafa gets his new contract and Robbie Keane leaves. That will take away all the talking points and let everyone concentrate on the games, one at a time.

Rafa can do wrong, and has. But I fail to see anyone out there who will be able to operate properly under our current owners.
        Forwards.......

That my friend is rubbish. Try and stay positive, no matter how hard you find it. Our team is good enough to finish top 3 at least. Man Utd and Chelsea have the better squads, no doubt about that. But we are easily better than Villa.

I don't remember the names, but within days of being here, a few points I made were met with the excruciatingly painful 'Rafa is a top premiership manager and you are just a fan so who are you to question him?'.

I agree that some are slagging him off. That shouldn't happen, unless there is some logic and reasoning behind it, and there isn't always. Even then, if he is to be criticised, it should be done with dignity. He's a very good manager, and if he can learn from the stunts he pulled at Wigan and hopefully not repeat them, i'd love him to stay. We've gathered more Prem points in 2008 than in any other year, so we are going the right way, but some of his faults are infuriating.

We better not bottle it again.

              Only a win will do.

See, thats where you are wrong. This team is a bunch of bottlers who only play when we are 30 points behind the leaders.

If we fail to win we will be out the race in all reality. But it will not be down to todays result or the draw with Everton.

Eh? Where were we in the league when we broke Chelsea's longstanding record at the Bridge? That was a massive display from us and i'm sure we weren't far from the top of the league at that point.

It's been our recent run too. Going by the last six games in the league, we are 8th in the table with regards to points gained.

True although we still have time to turn it around, starting today.
I'd like to think we'll go all out for the win.

There's a Category 1 cyclone raging outside but I'm here to support my team!

You're doing it all wrong mate. You have to either follow it up quickly with an 'I'm joking' type remark, or at least put some white text in.
