Lucas - I suspect he is one of these who is 'good in training'. It normally means ****ing useless on the pitch. Get rid.

Kuyt - Good player. Benitez clearly is not one to hang onto mistakes for too long and he has kept him in so he must think he is important. Not exactly glamorous in any sense but does a job. Keep.

Riera - Unsure. He can be effective but I suspect he is highly rated by some because the other summer signings were so poor and we suspected he would be. With other managers' records for attacking players he would probably be considered a failure. Keep for now.

Dossena - Awful. Get rid while we still can.

Aurelio - Actually very good when he is fit, which is rare. Keep until we have someone else more reliable who is any good.

Babel - Talented player but doubt it will work out under Benitez.

Yossi - I rate him highly. Puts a lot of effort in and is a decent squad member. Keep.

Or have i just complicated things unnecessarily.

Presuming we want to win the league the players must be of suitable quality to acheive that. Only one of those players might push for a place in any of the other top sides and that's Fabio in my opinion.

Ah, you know, I just know ****.

In all seriousness, although they're not doing too well for us at the moment, Babel and Riera would challenge for a first team place at somewhere like arsenal more than they would for us.

Maybe arsenal at a push but they're not exactly a side with title aspirations. And if they do they're deluded.

Is Park Ji Sung considerably better than Riera or Babel? How about ,Mr subbed at half time, Malouda?

to clarify I was talking about starting line-ups of opposition sides.

But yes Park is better than both imo.

Couldn't agree. Riera imo is far better than Park.
Park and Malouda both start a lot off games.

Park is playing for marketing purposes. He is not better than either Babel or Riera imo. And you did say "push for a place".

you can have Malouda, he's ****e. But that doesn't mean riera would get in if essien or cole weren't fit.

Park is a very underated player and imo better than rieira and he's doesn't start many games.

In their starting line ups and imo neither babel or riera would.

the question was are these players good enough for LFC. Maybe some are good enough squad players but I took the thread to mean are they of suitable quality generally for LFC. And in my opinion if we want to win the league only Aurelio on that list is good enough. Riera and Benni are not far off but ulitmately not quite there..

This is not to say I don't think they are good players. But good enough for LFC to me means a top player and those guys are not top players.

Fair enough. Still too early with Riera for me. I think if he stayed on the touchline he would be very effective.
