That's why Sounness is a bit of a cunt imo.

i think if your 20 something you will truly believe that mate but anyone over 30 is likely to remember souness and king kenny - both better imo[/QUOTE]

I'm 55. Don't really want to get into a debate about who's better than who. All truly great players but I can't say I've seen a better player than Gerrard.

TBH - I think SG is the most complete player I have ever seen and I'm and old man!

Runs - passes - tackles - set pieces - all of it.

Sorry but never seen another like him.

i can honestly say i havent seen a team as **** as set pieces as us. i thought you were meant to beat the first man at corners
              in january we were doomed.

in august we will rise from the ashes of ****e and march on again

im pretty sure we used to score a few when collymore was here as he always seemed to have loads of space in the box to volley corners in. since then though we are woeful

I would not swap him with any other on the planet. I can't even begin to imagine where we would have been in the last 5-6 years without him

I'm not saying he isn't a great player, possibly the best in the world right now. Relative to Souness and Kenny, he's not the best we have had thoughout our history. In my opinion at least anyway

Dalglish was a great player, Souness was a great player, Barnes was a great player and Gerrard is a great player.

Everything else -like ranking them - is b*ll*cks.
                          .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

If you take into account the defensive nature of our general play you would have thought that Rafa would take any opportunity to score with both hands. It's baffling how terrible we are at set pieces.

Still, we're class at penalty shoot outs.
