Ngog gave a rock solid 7/10 performance last night. I thought it was a real pity Rafa took him off actually, as after the goal he visibly grew in confidence and the lad was buzzing. Strange decision to take him off at that time, IMO.
He'd been down with cramp 10 minutes or so before he went off so I can see the logic behind it. We can't afford any more injuries to forwards.

Think the pace started to affect him, as prior to being taken off it looked like he was affected by cramp when the physio came on.

So a football fan on a forum can change the level of expectation and league position by marking a player who scored and set one up as a 7?? Well at least blaming Craig is a different route to the normal Rafa/ player bashing.

Come on Craig drop your player marking to 5 and we might then have a chance to win the league.

Also worth noting that it was nice to see Sunderland try to play some decent football and pass the ball around.

                yeah

5/10 for Ngog is ridiculous. He did better than Torres has in his last 5 or so games

Benny must have been 11/10 then

Hold on!!! Rafa didn't take off Ngog because thats what Rafa does. He took him off because the lad was on the floor with cramp at one point and struggled on until we got a sub ready

Yep fair point chaps, although it looked more like a jarring sort of knock than cramp – he jumped for a ball and landed on a completely straight leg. I did think he’d managed to successfully run it off but I suppose we’re best erring on the side of caution. Pity though as he was buzzing.

Yeah, but landing on a straight leg like that can force the muscles into an action they hadn't done before, and that muscle will then spasm and cramp...maybe???

What difference does it make if he score in the second half?

I'm talking about his performance over 90 mins.
You said you'd have rated him higher than a 5/10 if he'd converted the chance in the 1st half - well he converted one in the 2nd half.

Does a 1st half goal = 6/10 but a second half goal only equal 5/10?

What's the point you're making? That a kid debutant scuffed a half chance? Or that he took half an hour to find his feet?
