Havent watched it back on tv yet - how loud did it come across? I literally never heard the Madrid fans once - but i was at the other end, so that's probably understandable.

What an amazing performance Everything was perfect.

Why cant we come flying out the traps like that in league games??!

      Pretty damn loud

They showed one "hilarious" Madrid fan waving an Everton scarf on tv - joke was rather on him though

I almost feel sorry for Casillas you know, looking back at the highlights he pulled off some world-class saves........ actually, what am I talking about, I don't feel sorry for him at all!
I could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
      Mine angry and defrauded young?

Craig - what the **** were they (Madrid fans) singing near the end? We clapped them and they clapped us but I couldn't make it out

I was thinking the same actually, in the second half he was half crouched down by his post when the ball was at the other end, and i felt sorry for him at that point. Poor git had a blinder and no offence to Pepe, but Casillas showed why he's the Spanish number one. Top class performance and still beaten four times.

No idea mate, i could barely hear anything from their end. Let alone understand Spanish

I did notice them applauding our first two subs, but they didnt give Torres an ovation when he left the field. Wonder why

But we can and should employ the same mentality and approach at every game for the rest of the season. We have nothing to lose. It boils down to Rafa and his prowess as a manager and motivator.
Alright mate, not bad thanks, yourself? I definitely think a lot of it comes down to how the players, and Rafa in particular, approach the matches. I often think of him as very risk averse, he sets out very cagey often looking to nullify the opposition and only tries to win games in the second half or late in the game, but it' funny how sometimes in high stakes games in Europe against respected and feared opposition he, rather more riskily, sends the team out to blitz the opposition. Really wish we saw that type of mentality more in home league games

At this stage of the season Rafa has nothing to lose in the P.L. I believe he sees the deficiencies in his squad, some of which is self inflicted, and is too defensive in his approach. He should use the S.A.S. motto of "Who Dares Wins" and just go all out for the win (like what he does in the C.L).

I think it's 50-50 between the players and fans.

There is no doubt that the likes of Hull and Stoke would have been smashed with that kind of support in the league. This kind of support blows away the nerves in the home team.

On the flip side our players need to approach those games with the same mentality and if they did I guess the support of the crowd would not matter.
                Forwards.......

The onus must be be on the players. The club pays the players to be professionals, well most of the time, not part time Sunday leaguers. If you accept a hefty paycheque, give it your best. Now I know you can't ask for 100% every time but at least try. Maybe Rafa should introduce a New Zealand style Hakka before the games.

I think we'll blitz Man. Utd at Old Trafford on Saturday. We've got nothing to lose in the league and we may well play with a bit more of abandon. With the way United are playing right now (quite frankly they aren't impressive at all), anything is possible.

Another three pointer. Should have scored more but the money's in the bag. So this makes it Four down, with Twelve remaining.
