The most important thing about yesterday...

...is that the Scum's best defender by a country mile will be suspended for the games against Fluham away, Villa at home & Sunderland away. I think they could drop points in all 3 games without Vidic tbh.
Now the problem is we need to win our next 3 games...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

It is only a two match ban,one for denying a goal scoring op,and one for being sent off earlier in the season,at Anfield.

Oh and it comes into force after 14 days so it is the Villa and Sunderland games.

I would say that beating them 4-1 was pretty important.
        Oh I don't know.

I'm not unhappy about it being those two. Villa could cause them problems and Jones is the sort of aerial threat that Vidic usually keeps in his pocket.

Firstly, it was a straight red so it's a 3 match ban.

Secondly, i'd rather he missed Fulham next weekend. Fulham have a strong home record and if Vidic was out, there might've been a stronger chance of them doing something.

As it is, Vidic will miss Villa (h), Sunderland (a) and the third game will be the ****ing FA Cup Semi Final

Are you sure he won't miss the Fulham one, i.e a straight and instant ban?

Not 100% sure, but i was taking the view that the ban would take 2 weeks to come into force.

                Might be wrong - hopefully.

I think the ban is instant.

After his performance yesterday though would probably be worse for them with him still available!

                        From the fa website

                        1. Automatic suspensions for incidents seen and dealt with by the referee

Under the new Disciplinary Code, suspensions will come into effect immediately, unless a claim for wrongful dismissal or mistaken identity is lodged.

Clubs must notify The FA by 12 noon the next working day of their intention to submit a claim for wrongful dismissal or mistaken identity. The claim itself (along with relevant documentation/videos/fee, etc.) must be lodged by 12 noon the following working day.

All claims will be dealt with within four to five working days of a fixture. No Video Advisory Panel: claims go straight to Commissions. Players are permitted to play while their claims are being considered: however, there is provision for penalties for frivolous appeals.

It's been widely claimed on various fora that it's a 2 game ban, for some ****ing reason.

Wait a minute its a man united player so surely he should have a 0 game ban and a written letter of apology from the fa along with the head of the ref in a box addressed to Fergie!
