I think if we beat Villa they will be desperate for the points and I could see them sneaking a result against the Mancs. On the flip side if we lose to Villa they'll probably be happy with their lot from the two games.
    Forwards.......

Carew probably won't start though. Heskey innit.

The United defence can't hack it when they have runners against them. Team just tend to pass it in front of them and United somehow just snuff it out of them. I remember listening on the radio, the game between United and Newcastle and they constantly talked about how much Lovenkrands, Martins and Gutierrez made the United defence **** scared in the first half. One possible reason for this could be the lack of a Mascherano player in the United midfield who would usually just clear their lines or cover any sort of runner; Carrick, Scholes, Giggs and Anderson just simply don't do it.

Yes but Ibrahimovic is the most overrated pile of dross in world football - why do u think Jose's been dropping him so much?
Crespo's well passed it & their young black Italian striker is still too inexperienced.
Furthermore the Scum's midfield never really allowed Inter to go forward much...
Thanks for the memories Rafa - YNWA!

One, Jose is not dropping him. He is first choice striker. It's Adriano that has been in and out. Second, he may be over rated but he caused Vidic and Ferdianand plenty of problems at Old Trafford - Just terrible shooting. Rio and Evans snuffed him out completely.

At the end of the day the Mancs are not inpregnable. But not many teams have the class we do to open them up. It's all well and good saying don't let them play possession football but when you have a lightweight team like Fulham how do you stop them?

They do not have a solid back 4 like us. They do not have Mascherano sitting in front. They do not have Torres and Gerrad working in tandem to pull their back line to shreds. So we may have shown the way, but it's just a tiny gap, not a chasm.

It doesn't matter how much trouble u give defenders if u cannot put the ball in the back of the net...
