No doubt ing that. But I still can't blame him. I can moan, but I think I can look at how important getting Israel to a world cup would be for him and understand.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostPlaying for your country when you're clearly not fit, is a foolish thing to do.
Maybe I'd be going off it more if I saw him as a vital part of the team.Forwards.......

If it was the last qualifier and they needed to win to get to the world cup, maybe you'd risk it. But it's halfway through the campaign, their qualification hopes didnt rest on today's game alone.Originally posted by DannyMan2006 View PostNo doubt ing that. But I still can't blame him. This could be the end of his Liverpool career.Rafa not one to be crossed it seems,no matter who you are.-----------------------------------------------

Yes, I agree with this. He was just beginning to play himself into a key squad role just prior to his injury when before then it looked like he had no long term future at the club. Now a moronic decision to play such an intense game before he his match fit and not having played in weeks, contrary to Rafa's wishes and as we approach the business end of our season, will not endear him to Rafa at all.
He was beginning to win me over with his recent performances but **** like this pisses me off no end.White liquid in a bottle = Milk
Purslow = C*nt

Tbh though,we can really do with him for the remainder of the season.I agree that his performances before his injury were really good.I am just praying he's the only casualty of this international break.Originally posted by Dhav View Post

No, he needed a stretcher after Rafa had a little chat on the phoneOriginally posted by Chris View PostAnd he's been stretchered off. For **** sake.
Match report reads....
"Benayoun was subbed in the 71st minute, and it is unclear whether or not he will play against Greece in the second encounter between the teams on Wednesday.
"I played with a quiet mind," Liverpool midfielder Benayoun said after the match. "I made the right decision, and that's it; we hope we'll win in Greece, but a draw isn't that bad either. Still, our aim is to win in Crete"
Then further down....
"In the 71st minute Sahar returned a double pass to Benayoun, who quickly crossed the ball into the penalty area, where Omer Golan sent it into the back of the net, making it 1-1.
A few minutes later Benayoun was carried out on a stretcher. He is now in doubt for the next match on Wednesday."
The stretcher appears to have been OTT if he was speaking to the media so soon afterwards.
