Summer Signings: what do we need? who do you want?

Not to much, he is pretty consistant, has a good pass range and hard working. we were strongly linked last summer so who knows.

Well plenty wanted Heskey and he is far better and a very similar style player.

I know it's your opinion and I'm not trying to change yours, but Clichy is terrible at defending and error prone. If our Aurelio can stay fit, he's far better than him.

Realistically?
Blow most of the budget on Silva or Ribery, Owen on a free as a spare striker (I know, there's bad points, but there's good too and he's on a free), and possibly a RB if we have funds left.
Maybe not realistically but as I think Rafa's too stubborn to welcome Owen back. Lol.

Transfer speculation is building up again so I thought I'd start a thread on who people want us to sign and what positions we are weak in.

Defence:-

1. A new right back - Arbeloa is great but we don't really have a recognised backup, we either give Darby a proper chance or bring someone else in.

2. If no one but Hypia leaves one new centre back. Someone young, either from the reserves or a new signing.


Midfield:-

1. Right midfielder - I'd like us to sign Renato Augusto, he's a brazilian playing for Bayer Leverkusen in Germany.

2. Left midfielder - All the talk has been about David Silva, he would be a great signing, but if we can't get him we should try for Michel Bastos from Lille in France, he's been described as the most inform player in Europe, Dunga has said he's going to call him up to the brazilian national team, he has an amazing and extremely powerful left foot, a very classy player.

Forwards:-

1. A new striker - Hopefully Kierrison but half of europe are after him, if we don't get him there are probably a dozen other players we'll get linked with.
