Hmmm...maybe it highlights the point i was actually making then, about terminology people use when posters make criticisms of players.

Some posters would never 'hound' any player, but others apparently 'slag them off' - in actual fact, criticism is criticism - whatever label people choose to use for it.

I was merely making a dog related joke.

I would say 'slagging off' is a fair term for over the top criticism to be honest. In the middle of the season plenty of people went too far in their comments about Rafa and certain players. While it was criticism it was unjustified and at times both tedious and saddening to read.

Alonso has 3 more years on his contract, I wouldn't worry about what has been posted on TLW. Hicks Sport Group has defaulted on loans this week and is in serious ****, can't see where he's going to get 25m from???

depends on our transfer budget to whether it weakens the team ie 20m for alonso= Barry 8m + eto'o for 18m. 6million for them two leaves hopefully leaves a few quid in coffers

Gerrard is one of the best players every to grace Liverpool and there will be a day when he isn't around and believe me you'll miss him. He's our captain, our talisman and our best player. Any club or nation would have him in their team in fact they would have him as the first name on the team sheet. The fact it's taken 2 weeks to sort this lastest contract out just shows how quickly things are now moving. Everything is positive we just need 3 points tomorrow now.

How the **** are we going to replace him when he retires. Lets hope someone emerges in the next 2 years or so.

There has been a long line of liverpool greats that we thought were irreplaceable but on most oocasions we have always conjured someone up.

Under Rafa at least we are a team that can attract those top players.
