They weren't in a row. The Chelsea home leg and Fulham games were inbetween.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

In our last 8 games Masch played six and missed two.

For the six he played games we scored, 4,4,4,5,4,4 goals. 29 goals in 6 games.

The two games he missed we only scored once.

For the current team or anybody?
Might be worth checking if the maths was correct. It actually only adds up to a paltry 25.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

Knew it didn't look right, but still kept adding it up wrong.

Bit late to his, but I will chip in with an "I told you so"...

Benayoun has always been an in the hole player. He has the same ability as Macmanaman, able to move the ball to the side before finding a hole to play the ball into for the striker. Its something that we dont do enough, and exactly the kind of through ball Torres thrives on.

I will never get why Rafa plays him on the wing, as he has none of the attributes to do a good job there. I believe our strongest team would see Benayoun playing in behind, with Gerrard on the right of midfield (free to float).
In the beginning, Fowler created the Heaven and the Earth.

Glad to see he is Finnaly getting the respect he deserves .. why it took people this long I'll never know .. same people probally said Carra was not good enough awhile back ..

A cracking player and in terms of game intelligence right up there with the very best of them

I think that the reason he wasn't getting respect was because he was off form. To be honest like Alonso last season he has spent long periods looking far from his best (actually in both seasons for us). He is however a splendid player when he finds his form.

I have at times advocated selling him but I think now he has learned his role in the team and since the turn of the year has been one of my favourite players. If he could learn to use his body or make tackles that stopped attacks early in wide positions I think he would genuinely be one of the best players in the league.

And no need to get so defensive, although yours was the post I quoted, it was the people in one of the match threads suggesting that we should change our whole system and formation that I was mainly getting at. We’re off the back of five straight league wins and just produced one of the best attacking performances of our season, yet people are calling for radical changes.

I definitely agree that Benni should get more games, but Mascherano should not be the one making way and we certainly shouldn’t be looking at altering our formation to accommodate him (just look at the Keane fiasco).
Yep sorry, did kinda go off on one a little; took offence when maybe none was intended

Although to be fair, I couldn't know the bit in bold when reading your post!

I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"

Ha ha, no problem, it was probably my inappropriate use of the smiley, that one always backfires one me.

I'll soon get the hang of them one day.

I would be interested in pulling up his stats in his socalled off patch
