They are worse than last year but they were exceptionally good then. Winning the tight games is the mark of potential champions I think. We have given away points when ahead (Wigan, Arsenal and Evertone spring to mind) and failed to get goals from pressure (Stoke, Fulham, West Ham). Personally I think it was part of the learning curve for our players and by the end I think we have started to take on board some of the lessons. The big difference this season has been experience.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI know what you mean. I think they've been **** too. They're the kings of the 1-0 win. I think during that run of 14 successive clean sheets, about 10 were 1-0 wins FFS."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

although not sure they are worse, just different ....they won it for attacking flair last year, this year it has been built on a strong defence_____________________________________
Weak willed, Wank or do they have a masterplan?
Think we have the answer..Slot!!

Trust me, although I feel positive about our chances next year, currently I feel the same as you do. Avoiding all football stuff on the net (other than here, obv), papers, SSN....all that ****e. The CL final is going to be horrible, truly horrible. If Barca win I will feel an intense joy, truly an intense joy that - sad though it may be - wouldn't be all that far behind the sort of joy I feel when we win a big game.Originally posted by anfieldanfield View PostI am just amazed everyone is so positive about everything.
18:4 **** sake, so depressing...
I want to forget about football. Gutted, just gutted with it all.
The thought of 4 for them - and three for ****ing Ferguson - makes me feel physically sick. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

No Henry, Iniesta, Alves, Marquez or Abidal for the final.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostTrust me, although I feel positive about our chances next year, currently I feel the same as you do. I'm worried.
If Barcelona win I will celebrate almost as hard as if we had won it. It means that much. They CANT win it 4 times. They just can't. It can't happen.
We've always been able to chuck "18/5", or "we're the most successful English club ever, so **** off" line at people.
But what now ?
Oh God, I am so glad for a summer where I do not have to think, talk or read about football.
Excuse me If I'm not doing cartwheels because Stevie picked up some award or we challenged for second place etc....
Devastated.
