Best away record in the league & 2nd place nearly wrapped up
This is the daft mistake so many people make - i'm neither positive nor negative, i just comment on things as they are. If things are good, i'll say so, if they're ****, i'll say so too.
The fact that people 'like me' when i post positive stuff but abuse me when i post negative stuff, is sad.
Someone can decide they're a 'positive' poster and say positive things all the time - but if their team suddenly goes on a run of no wins in 6 games, for example, they'd be foolish to continue claiming everything is still well.
I dont seek to be positive or negative, i just comment on things as i see them.
Because you're meant to win more at home, than away.
I'd have thought that was obvious.
It might well be for US. But that's not generally how you win league titles.
Having a better away record indicates that there's problems with home games.
Teams come to Anfield wanting a point but when they play infront of their own fans they expect them to go forward and give us a game, and when most teams in the league do this we should beat them.
It makes sense to win more home but no one gives us an inch to move in.

Mate, i can only tell you the facts as they are.
The fact is, barring the very rare odd exception, teams who win the league have a superb home record, and a better one than their away record.
Do teams not go to Old Trafford and the same thing? Yes.
I think teams go to United with a different attitude than Anfield though, I think if teams showed the same grit at Old Trafford it wouldnt be the same but United are better at getting a break through against teams.

I know what you mean. Personally I like to be positive when things are going against us and to look at the negative aspects when we are doing well.
I do try and be fairly realistic though. Supporting a club like LFC is quite unique in that we are a massive club who lives by the mantra that second is nowhere, yet have been ****ing useless for close to twenty years.
If I was to be negative it would be to easy, but very depressing. Makes you sick when down the years we have been celebrating **** like League Cup victories whilst coming miles adrift of the champions - usually behind two of the teams I hate most in Arsenal and Man Utd.
I'm not gonna celebrate coming second this year as that means **** all in the record books. I want to win the league. I wouldn't be happy with winning the League cup, or even the FA cup which seems to mean less every year. Champions of England or Champions of the World. Everything else can **** off for me. I still want to win the others, but they don't equate to a successfull season.
The only reason I remain upbeat is the need to be realsitic. Can't jump from 30 points behind or whatever to champions. Every team in Premier League history has had one watershed year where everything has clicked just about and they have run the winners close.
Next year is the big one.
Now, back to being positive/negative dependant on the mood on the forums...............

I dont think that's true at all. You make it sound like they get breaks by good fortune.
The fact is, when teams come to Anfield and park buses, we have 2 real chances of breaking them. Gerrard and Torres. And they've rarely played together this season.
United have 4. If Ronaldo doesnt get you, Rooney will. If he doesnt, Berbatov will. If not him, Tevez.
If they lose one or two of those, they still have another two or three. We dont.
That's the difference. If teams stop our two best attacking players, we're often stumped. If they stop United's, the other two will usually pop up.

Teams are only scared when they have a reason to be. Teams look beaten before they get on the field against us lately. Not so long a go teams were playing Man Utd with belief they could get a result as they saw the cracks. But when Man Utd turned up a gear the other teams cracked and waited for the inevitable.
If Wigan and Arsenal can take the lead against the Mancs they will get belief they can win. Concede the first goal and they'll fold like a pack of cards.
