In the current economic climate, i dont think they'd sell 50k ST at £680 each.

that lovely smell of piss in all the corners, happy daysOriginally posted by poorscousertommy View PostSounds about right mate. Good old memories. Getting to the game a couple of hours before kick off so you could get your usual space in the crowd. Getting a bovril before the game because the old Kop was ****ing freezing! Taking a milk crate into the ground to put infront of the crash barrier so I could stand on it when I was about 7 or 8.
your right though......it used to be ****ing freezing!!!
one of my favourite memories was one of the derby games, there was to many of us the kop so they had to let loads of us almost onto the pitch right behind the goal, **** me did southall get some abuse

Touchy subject tbf. But i certainly dont agree only the person whos name is on the ST should be the only person to use it.....Thats just madness. Its the ST holder's responsibilty of who takes a ticket.
Also there's plenty of people at the match who can afford a couple of season tickets as a day out for the family but generally dont give a **** about the game. Its not like you can tell them they are taking seats that should be given to true fans.......Just doesnt work that way does it.“…Slip like Freudian, your first and last step to playing yourself like accordion.”

I think there's over 60,000 names on it, but i also think that a fair percentage of those people probably went on it when they were young, without family and other expensive commitments. Some would've emigrated or moved and wouldnt want a ST now. Others would even have passed away.Originally posted by meffin View PostI bet theres more than 50,000 on the waiting list
Of the list, i think only 20,000-30,000 could and would buy a ST if offered one today.

Yes but those figures (20k - 30k) added to the current amount of season tickets holders will be somewhere in the region of 50k.Originally posted by Craig_H View PostI think there's over 60,000 names on it, but i also think that a fair percentage of those people probably went on it when they were young, without family and other expensive commitments. At the rate of 30 STs being returned each year, that means a wait of 2,166 years for the poor soul at the bottom of the list. I wonder who'll be playing for us then?Ian Ayres was asked about the season ticket waiting list and whether it actually existed. He indicated that it did and it currently had 65,000 people upon it. He said that the general turnover of season tickets per season was about 20 or 30 being returned to the Club and them being offered to those upon the waiting list. He did indicate however that they were constantly trying to clean the database to make certain that it was up to date.
