Moores resigns from lfc board

His mate Parry is gone now and he prob feels increasingly marginalised on the board now.

He'll keep his life presidency though cos that means free tickets and hospitality at our expense,all of which he's completely undeserving of.

That's what was puzzling me, if he wants a clean break why hang to a meaningless life presidency, at least while he was on the board he had some input, however small.

not sure how people can complain about being owned by the yanks yet then defend the person who sold out to them.

whether it was niavety or stupidity or whatever it was, moores spent 5 years selling the family jewels and he sold it to those 2 clowns and you expect people not to be a little pissed off with moores?

regardless of whether Parry talked him into it or whatever the reason was, it was moores job to make sure he choose the right legacy .....and 99.5% i am sure believe he got it wrong

DIC came along and had the business know how and money to make LFC massive again and it should have been a no brainer if he was really looking out for LFC and its future but he wasn't he lined his own pockets and sold to two men who specialize in leveraged buyouts and had less money them him!

The guy held us back for years and when it come to the crunch he ****ed it up. As much as we hate the yanks Moores is the main reason we are in this mess. So the abuse he gets is nothing more than deserving IMO.

One of my biggest gripes is that the club, with all it's marketing potential history and trophies, was led into decline. While utd made hay while the sun shone, we just stuttered along, which in turn led us to where we are today.

We should be in the position utd are, we should be fighting for the title of biggest/richest club in the world with Madrid each year, we even had a head start, yet we made it all too easy for Fergie to knock us off our perch.

I won't personally attack the man for being lacking in business acumen, i'm over that, but it still hurts.

For me the complete lack of action (and ****e actions when he did do something) is a bigger sin than selling out to the the yanks.

He should have reacted in the mid 90's to what the scum were doing and he didn't, thats why we are so far behind now. Its also part of the reason why its almost 20 years since we've won the league.

He should be a bigger hate figure with the fans than the yanks.

The hight of David Moores incompetence was when he hired Houllier as Joint manager with Roy Evans FFS. He should have just got rid of Evans and let Houllier have a go but no he made a laughing stock out of us.

He inherited us from his Daddy then proceeded to allow us to fall way behind our main rivals both on and off the pitch.

After he finally figured out that him and business don't mix well he launched a 3 year search for a buyer and finally decided on 2 lads that hadn't a shilling in real money just lots and lots of leveraged businesses and a mountain of debt they used to buy those business.But then they did offer him more so thats nice for him.

And he still turns up every week.

The fact that his family owned Littlewoods up until a few years ago and yet the catalogue and merchandise side of the club was so ****e shows what kind of a business man he was.

The entire Moores family ****ed up what John Moores built, they ran Littlewoods into the ground before selling up to the Barclay Brothers.
