Most PTS members are locals so they are convinced this is an attempt to give more tickets to OOT'ers.
I was a PTS member (along with several friends) we were originally invited onto it as we were Fan Club Members, so I am not quite sure you are right in your assertion that "most PTS members are locals", although I would say that a large proportion of those availing of the invite would be local and certainly made the most of the PTS, whereas the PTS OOTers made less use of it, surely the same will be true under the new scheme also.
Don't know about you, but I am guessing we all want the same thing, I want LFC to be the best club in the world so me and my kids get to see them winning the Premiership, major trophies etc, unfortunately football is a mostly commercial enterprise these days punctuated with 90 minutes of football now and again, without making the most of the commercial opportunities LFC will not be successful on the pitch and may drop out of the "top 4" I certainly do not want to see that, do you ?
your loyalty from last season i.e. games attended whilst a PTS member still counts so it's not as bad as people are making out but those who only go to glory games (everton, mancs, arsenal) will lose out
I'm still waiting to hear about the fan card scheme, this seems to have slipped under all radars and I was still using that last year and hoping my loyalty from that still counts this year

This is the new fan card scheme.
They have got rid of PTS and merged it into a new relaunched fan card official membership scheme. What they haven't told us yet is the cost.
but does the old fan card scheme still count? I know you can't join any more but are they honouring the loyalty points? and are they expecting us to join the new scheme or continue with the old (which originally promised a one off £5 lifetime fee)

I wasnt in PTS but have a fan card with all manner of games on it so Im ****ed if Im losing loyalty.

Originally when it was first mentioned it was 35 quid vs. the 55 quid for PTS. That was before SOS raised the issue of loyalty though, so they've been tweaking things since

so pretty much the same price as the old club membership
The fans membership scheme was £29 last year as well IIRC. This replaced the old fan club scheme which was about £32.
The main aim of the new membership scheme is to try and get one coherent list of all fans who are "buying" stuff from the club. This includes season ticket holders, PTS members, fan card holders, people who buy online from the main site etc etc.
Having "one big list" makes it far more commercially valuable to the club when they approach sponsors and potential partners. If they can sit down with Carlsberg, adidas, orange and so on and say look we have xxxx live customers on our database, they are in a far stronger position to make sponsors pay more to get in front of Liverpool fans.
Was having a look at the tickets sales dates and saw members are going to be first does this mean it's going to be as easy to get tickets as it was for the PTS? I am guessing the PTS you were basically guaranteed tickets?
I think it's a foul, and if the ref gives it. He got to give a penalty. I know it's outside the box, but you see them given that close to the area. So if the ref gives it he's got to give the penalty as it so close to the area. But I think it's a penalty. Robbie Savage 8/11/06
