Not too sure but that's what I would be willing to pay.. Doubt he would leave to come here now Xabi an Alvaro have moved on, maybe if they where still here but if he became available then he would IMO be Barca bound.

I'm not a fan of Voronin and I want a decent replacement for Torres brought in. But I would keep him if we get no decent offers and he's happy to fight for a place.

He's decent enough to have as an option as back up and someone who can come in and do a job in emergencies.

I think number 1 for me would be Villa, but think he may be a bit out of our price range. But maybe 30m for Alonso combined with sale of Dosenna, Arbeloa, and maybe the sale of some other players and selling the tea lady we raise 50m and get him in.

Change to 4-4-2 and get Gerrard back in CM where he can get games by the scruff of the neck and turn them round bossing the centre of the park and burst into the box to score.

I totally disagree with those who've said that Gerrard shouldn't or can't play central mid. I do think there is a certain amount to be said for not breaking up the Gerrard/Torres combo, but if it were Villa breaking it, then I'm all kinds of alright with that.

Providing Gerrard can re-learn the discipline needed for that role, I dont see any reason why he cant be the best in the world at it

Possibly a little too attacking, but we know how well Kuyt can defend, which would be handy for playing like this

After watching the Manure - Valencia friendly I would much prefer it if we got Silva. Much better value for money imo. Valencia rejected a 50 million Euro bid for Villa from Barca so it means we would have to fork out minimum 45 million squid on him if we have any hope of getting him, whereas Silva shouldn't be much more than 20 million squid...
