A Top Four Finish for LFC....

Depends what you mean by 'expect'. I think we should always be 'expected' to win any game we go into. But yes, if you're asking for my objective prediction I wouldn't come straight out and say a win for us. A lot of people will say the smart money is on a home win, but I can see us putting up a real good performance over there so long as nothing happens to knock our confidence early on. If I had to place a large bet I'd go for the draw. Just.Like blood on iron

Fair play mate, again apologies if i put that across in a rude manner.
Dont get me wrong, i dont necessarily think a home win is definitively going to be the outcome, but for me, it's the most likely of the three. The consequences of defeat are horrible, to say the least.
Hope i get it horrifically wrong.

If I could pick the team for OT I'd go for something like
-------------Reina----------
Finnan----Carra--Agger----Riise
-------Alonso----Sissoko-----
Gerrard-------------------Garcia
---------Crouch---Kuyt-------
We need to put our best players on the pitch and let them playI could not dig, I dared not rob:
Therefore I lied to please the mob.
Now all my lies are proved untrue
And I must face the men I slew.
What tale shall serve me here among
Mine angry and defrauded young?

Not at all mate. I think today was one of those games where the disappointment really hits you hard. Like after the Fulham and Palace defeats last season. It'll come for us, just a real shame we have to be playing catch-up so early on.Originally posted by DJSFair play mate, again apologies if i put that across in a rude manner.Like blood on iron

Yes we will finish in the top four but it's the likely position in that top four that worries and depresses me.
I still maintain that had we pushed the boat out for Alves and left Pennant WELL alone, we'd be much much happier now.
I've got the hangover from hell and I am very, very depressed today. Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

What if he'd have broken his leg when we signed him. Point is, we didn't sign Alves, and one player does not make a team. Pennant has been woeful so far, i agree, and i'm worrying about the boy's future for us. However the problems in our team are much deeper than who is playing on the right of midfield.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonsoYes we will finish in the top four but it's the likely position in that top four that worries and depresses me.

I'll still resolutely think inconsistency in player selection/positioning (to the extent we have been) is the fundamental flaw of our season thus far. That, and our inability to put the ball in the net, when Kuyt isn't playing.
Keep Gerrard Right, leave Carra and Hyppia at CB for 5 weeks while Agger is out, start blooding Speedy, drop Pennant to impact player status, and give Kuyt a permanent role up front or give Bellamy a kick up the jaxi - do all that and we'll return to form i'm sure.
Ps. Hope the wedding went well bud....

Yes mate, I didn't mean to infer that our problems started and ended there. It's obviously not that simple, but I do think if there was a key transfer cock up this summer, then that was it.Originally posted by BobWhat if he'd have broken his leg when we signed him. The wedding went well or badly, depending on how you look at it. I was the most drunk person there, by a mile, and was dragged out at 10pm (after being on it since 11.30am) sweating profusely and shirt somehow unbuttoned and untucked.

I always gauge how ****ered i am at weddings by how much i get into dancing to that abhorrent **** of a song by Tony Christie. If i'm throwing myself about to that, it's bedtime, even high brow jazz/ceilidh gigs have some inherent need to shoe that into their set.
