Defeat ends our title challenge (if one still exists).

For United, the worst case scenario is a 3 point defecit from Chelsea.

The repercussions of defeat differ greatly.
United have so much to gain though. A win could effectively end the title hopes of one of their main challengers and their greatest rivals to boot.

They'll be motivated, at home and can play without fear. :gulp:

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

We dont seem capable of playing that direct, quick-paced attacking football that just suffocates opponents.

Or at least, if we do, it's very rare.

Sadly, the simple fact is that we dont have (enough) quality players to do it.

Look at players like Robben, Ronaldo, Giggs, Van Persie and now even Walcott. They make things happen, they EXCITE.

Look at some of ours. Pennant. Aurelio. Gonzalez. Bellamy.

I KNOW it's early for the new boys and i'm really trying not to jump to conclusions, but the difference in quality seems to stand out like a sore thumb.
        I think this is correct

One of our best performances was second half against Spurs I thought at times in that game we really attacked them and looked dangerous down our left hand side EVERYTIME we attacked

One of the more mystifying things this season has been how infrequent Gonzalez has played and yet Pennant has been given countless opportunities and hasnt rarely done enough for me

And me. It’s my bug-bear this season.

It’s so mystifying (especially given the year long battle we endured to get him his work permit) that I can only assume there’s a grain of truth in those rumours of Speedy going out on the lash too much.

I'd be over the moon with a point at old toilet to be honest.
After the way we played the first 60mins on saturday it doesnt look too good for us at the moment. I know things can change as the season progress' but i dont think the new players (besides dirk diggler) are settling in too good.

Both words have more or less the same meaning, although culminative is normally assigned to textual lists.....

That's just the point though isn't it mate. Utd and chelski can afford both. We can't - it's one or t'other. We needed a new striker and got Kuyt, but couldn't afford Alves and had to settle for Pennant.

Look at Pompey now, Do you expect them to finish above us? I don't!

We have all the right tools to win more matches and as the season progresses we will do so. 10pts from 12 at home isn't bad, we drew matches at home last season and will draw at home again this season...it happens.

What concerns me is the away form but the fixture list hasn't been kind to us and we're probably in a false position at the moment at the expense of that. As the season progresses we WILL improve.
