Not by much. Villa put a lot of effort into that half and if we can put the same in during the second half I think we can turn this around. Let's face it a couple of our players can't have played much worse and can only improve.

I'm sure Rafa will say the same but, as at Spurs, it's a bollocks excuse.

I know it is a bollocks excuse really but you have to question, after what happened here last season with the same ref, why Atkinson has been given this game again.

He seems to have come out with the attitude that he is not going to be intimidated by the home fans and has gone so far that he is only looking at giving things to the away team. The way Torres has been man handled has been shocking yet the slightest little touch on any of them is a foul. You only have to look right at the beginning where Skrtel was deemed to have given a corner away when his shirt was being pulled and was then pushed in the back with the 'very experienced' linesman looking right at them. That set the tone for me.

It wouldn't surprise me if we get a lot more given our way in the second half but it will be too late.

We are going to have to pull something special out of the bag if we are to get anything here.
