I can't decide whether I think he did well or not. He won a few aerial balls that in recent weeks we would have lost but he didn't dominate his zone in the air in the way Sami used to and he doesn't clear the ball as cleanly as the likes of Vidic and terry tend to. That said it was his debut and a number of defenders have taken time to adapt to the way we defend and that might, along with the uniquely awkward presence of Davies, be the reason for his less than completely convincing performance.

He certainly won't dally on the ball as much in future I hope.

That at a big club you need 4 central defenders with decent experience and they should try learning all they can from them?

If they don't think that then maybe they shouldn't be there in the first place.
