So, on the one hand, he is publically backing G/H's ownership, and thus not risking the wroth of the board, and at the same time he is, if you're view of the interview is right, hanging Reina out to dry.

The new comercial ventures they've announced should help ease the burdern of paying the loan off & free up some more funds for Rafa to strengthen the squad.

He's not hanging reina out to dry, but reina hasnt said anything that could get him hung out to dry. It's obvious what the meaning is, but knowing something and proving are utterly different.

Rafa is playing political games, same as he did at Valencia, same as he's done since the yanks came in - remember post Athens?

He's doing it for all the right reasons, so i dont consider it remotely despicable.
