I would like to see him given a go on the wing, he can't be any worse than the rubbish we put out there currently.

He has a decent cross but is a defensive liability.

He is a young player having growing pans. I don't think it is clear that he will become a world beater but he does look like having many of the ingredients of a really good player. In a settled back four against Villa, in ****ty conditions he played really well. His season has been up and down but similar accusations were put to Carragher when he broke through and he has come through to be a pretty good player.

He's had an up and down season, but so has almost everyone at the club. Young players make mistakes, that's how they learn and become better players

He got done for pace a few times yesterday, I thought it was actually quite impressive how he kept at his task and improved through the game after a very torrid opening. He also got absolutely no support whatsoever from Aurelio for most of that game, leaving him badly exposed.

With experience he'll learn far better how to cover for those quicker players, this season is a massive learning curve for the lad and he'll be much better in future for it.

I think he could possibly do with a bit of a rest, but otherwise I'd still rather see insua starting at LB for us currently than Aurelio, or Dossena.

That's something I wish more people would consider when critisising players coming into the team

All the evidence (your eyes aside) suggest otherwise. The official site has him as 5' 10", those pictures above clearly show him in comparison to other players who we know the height of. I'll go with the facts rather than your eyes on this one if it's all the same

Official site has him as 1.78m, Wiki has him as 1.78m/5ft 10...1.78m is actually 5ft 8.
