    I think we'll need a minimum of 7 personally.

It's more about properly utilising what we have IMO. I'd love more class players to come in, but i wouldnt say we dont have enough.

Ok, well we have to beat Sunderland. And due to the '6 pointer' nature of the manc game, we'll need to beat them too. So yeah, 6 games from the next 2 games is needed.

                    good point!

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Yes Skrtel's performance today was at least one very positive note. Focused, no nonsense approach was evident from the first whistle.
Hopefully he'll get back to his best now.

the team that ended the game today is our best side.

It needs to play every game.

If we had played that from the start, we would have got something from today.

They knew that we didnt have anything to hurt them in wide areas, so their fullbacks easily took care of Riera and Kuyt, leaving the CBs and Essien to nullify Gerrard and Torres. Piss easy for them. Should've played 442, two strikers to occupy their two CBs and Gerrard bursting from deep, into the space created by the strikers and their movement.

Also, why did we insist on throwing high ball after high ball into their box? We have hardly any aerial threat and Chelsea are one of the most aerially and physically powerful teams in the league, so high crosses were food and drink for them. We dont learn though, we never ****ing learn. It's like our constantly **** and failed corners - but we just do the same over and over again. Sometimes you can cause problems by drilling it low into the box - look at the mancs late goal yesterday. But no, we just persisted in pumping easy high balls into the box, for Terry, Carvalho, Ivanovic, Ballack and Lampard to just keep clearing. Idiotic one dimensional and naive ****e.

League's not over yet, but if we dont win at Sunderland, we're out of it. 9 points will be far too much to recover from.
This is why gerrard should have been in the middle with javier. We know essien had him in his back pocket last season at anfield and gerrard is no kaka. He doesnt have the nous to play against a man marker as effective as essien. We couldnt get the ball to him where he could do some damage and create something for torres.

once you take gerrard out of the equation we are really pedestrian and until yossi came on we were really running out of ideas. Long punts to torres when he's up against terry and carvalho isnt going to work.

Rafa got the tactics wrong. And no lucas isnt good enough to play at championship level let alone premiership. He isnt the only one Riera was absolutely terrible too.

You know fine well that Lucas is filling in at the moment for the real replacement who is injured just now. We have signed as a long term replacement and you just have to wait for him to be ready. Aqualani is going to do the job atleast for 5 years hopefully so we wait a few weeks for him big deal

Lucas tries his best, nothing more we can ask till the real replacement is ready.
