Signing players doesn't guarantee them performing, you are not buying machines or Ferrari cars there.

Don't you think that comment is a little bit out of order!

Just because some people don't share your over enthusiasm of being happy with that team that was on the pitch today does not make them scum.

I think everybody has a right to feel extremely disappointed with todays result, especially against the team it was, especially after finishing second last season but yes some might over react a little bit, because they are hurting like mad.

But I can tell you even though I still believe we could make up the 7 points we are behind the scumbag leaders if we go on one hell of a run I look at our squad and I wonder if they are capable, if they have the balls, the desire or if they are looking over at Eastlands and thinking we haven't got a chance.

I think it is quite fair to say that there are number of players that really are not good enough for LFC whether that be skill or enthusiasm.

And now I have lost my flow so I will stop which I think you should think about before you call your fellow fans scum!

Well that depends on how close we were to 1st and how we looked like as a team. If I feel that there's no way Rafa can bring back the belief in the team and progress doesn't seem likely, I'd consider bringing someone else. I don't feel that way yet.

Rafas fault, as well as G+H for failing to back him in the transfer market. I could think of any number of strikers Rafa has let go who would have been in the team ahead of todays players who started the game. Crouch, Ciise, Bellamy, Keane, even Baros. All were not good enough for the club, but have not been replaced by anyone better.

It is shocking that a club the size of ours only has one decent striker. We should have at least two other decent strikers. I don't give a toss if we only play one up top. Strikers are the players that make the difference and we should not be lacking in that area.

To lose 4 out of our first 9 games is as bad as it gets for me. We've reached my tipping point I'm afraid

Highly paid professionals don't need people to tell them to perform. Rafa isn't their daddy for that fact. As Liverpool fans we should know that it is only October and that there is plenty of time to rectify the situation, there's no point in panicking.

It is only October and sadly I can't see us getting any better. We've only avoided defeat against the really **** teams. We have lacked any kind of creativity against any team that isn't relegation fodder. Even with Torres and gerrard we've looked well short of title challengers.

Time won't change that I'm afraid

Doesn't mean anything at all. There's still 29 games to be played. Chelsea have lost 2 games and there's more than a hint that the top tier of this league will be more competitive this season.

We challenged for the title last year. We did not under Houllier. If you want to think differently that's fine. If you never thought we had a chance of the title last year then fine. I did think we were in the race, and other than once under Evans, that is the only time we've challenged in the Premiership era.

In fact, you can ask any Liverpool fan who was in the away end at Fulham last year and I'm sure you'd get the same opinion.

It does to me, it means we are not good enough despite hundreds of millions of pounds of investment and 5 seasons under this manager

So how do you explain losing 4 out of 9 then?

                            Fair enough.

Liverpool fans normally don't throw in the towel until the fat lady sings though.

I think losing 4 games at this point of the season makes it a "bit" difficult to win the league. We need to go on some amazing run if we want any chance of being there towards the end and we don't look capable of it. The team doesn't seem to have any confidence at all and I'd say it's a pretty good reason to be worried, especially considering that there are three sides (City, Spurs, Villa) who aren't going to wait for us to get back on track. One or two are going to take advantage of it and CL football next season looks to be in serious jeopardy.
