True, same for me, but there are..or hopefully now 'were' some fans that still gave him respect as an ex red, or just as a football player, but these comments from mo seem intended to break all ties with LFC fans.

Looks out for Madrid and Newcastle...but not LFC, very odd thing for him to say imo. ****.

I'd rather the Liverpool crowd on Saturday concentrated on supporting the Liverpool players, than wasting any breath on this little ****.

Imagine if the turd scored in front of the Kop. Get Skrtel to **** him off the pitch and then applaud the stretcher as it takes him into the football graveyard.

I really want Carra to break him in half. That would make my ****ing day.

I have a feeling this might be the intention of his words.

Do you people actually read the articles or do you just read the headlines?

            1. Where does it say Owen would celebrate if he scores against us? Other than the headline.

            2. Where does it say Owen feels no affinity towards Liverpool and doesn't also look out for our results?

All he complains about in this article is that Man Utd is a job opportunity, a better one than the Hull City option he had, and that he wishes fans could see that and remember what he did for Liverpool. NO CHANCE I can forgive him for the Manc move, I understand why he did it but would never forgive him.

But there is nothing negative towards Liverpool in that article.

Its not "Having to earn" Owen, its wanting to earn more money that you can't realistically spend without buying an awful lot of expensive sh*t that you don't need.

I have done. But I stand by what I said. The headlines do not match with his comments.

It is well knwon in the summer that Owen was desperate to return to Liverpool and that we were his first option above all others. Hardly a sign that he holds no affinity for the club. He's obvioulsy not a fan boy but I'm sure we are the club that is closest to his heart out of Real, Newcastle and LFC.

Having said that, Owen has always been in it for himself and as such never got a close bond with the Kop - something I would guarantee still bothers him to this day. Just a shame he never realised why Fowler and the likes of Torres are Kop idols, whilst he never really was - despite having done so much for the club.

I said all summer we should have signed Owen and i stand by that now. Even his biggest critics are now probably thinking we could have done with someone of his calibre on the books to suport Torres off the bench and the odd start. But that's for the past and is no longer an option.

Right this minute I couldn't give two ****s about Owen, and it wouldn't bother me (other than for whilst the celebrations were ongoing) if he celebrated against us if he scored - the only thing that would bother me is that a Man Utd player had scored against us.

The footballers that love the club are few and far between.

Timing of his words is not very good though. If he genuinely had any kind of affinity he would have kept quiet. Seems like he wants to stoke it up before Sunday and has succeeded.

Anyway he doesn't have say anything directly negative about Liverpool for people to have a right to be pissed off - his deeply patronising bull**** about providing for his family is a totally cuntish, deluded and condescending thing to come out with. Who the **** is he trying to kid?

Plus, the man was never particularly liked by large chunks of our support even when he was a Red. This was as a result of his acute case of Ingerlanditis. His new position as hate figure number one (eat that Che Neville) now that he has joined our most bitter rivals should come as no surprise. He always had the potential to make it to this level. We should be congratulating the poisonous little gnome on finally fulfilling his potential.

He will be asked questions by the media. He gets paid thousands of pounds a week and is fully expected to answer those questions. Anything less is childish by him, like Fegie and Redknapp (H) refusing to talk to the BBC.

It is a bull **** reason. The correct one would be that he had a choice between Hull, Everton and Man Utd. Owen is a player driven by success - not money - and so the only realistic choice was to pick Man Utd. It's his best chance of making the England squad and best chance of playing in the big games that would make Capello sit up and take note.

Darren Bent could smash them in all season for Sunderland and not get a look in. If Owen does half of that he'd be elavated above him in the England reckoning due to playing in Europe and playing for the trophies.

I'm sure he cares for the club. But like most players these days he cares more for himself. Carlos Tevez seems to rate himself as a lover of the fans. But it didn't stop him joining Man City.

Nothing professional footballers do these days suprises me.

it'd be perfect it if he broke both of his legs and an arm whilst deflecting a lucas 30 yard piledriver into his own net for the winner on sunday.
