    Riise!!

    Riise!!!!!!!

Dont get me started on that useless ****

Exactly the same as Konchesky, couldnt defend to save his life and all he did was lump it

Looked like a little lost boy running around. I'd have Insua and Konch in the premier league before Dosenna any day.

Degen was just as bad that day, and the two of them combined were seriously unbelievable. They actually looked like they had never been on a football pitch before and just didn't know what to do for 90 minutes.

I grew to like Dossena though (I wonder when that changed) and would have been happy to give him another season to see if he would improve once settled.
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

His goals against Real and Man Utd made Doss left on a high. We should remember he was LM by then though

Riise over any of them. We've been weaker at left back since he left, regardless of what he might have ended up. Far superior to anything we've had since.

This is the thing there is nothing between Dossena, Insua & Konchesky they are all ****ing ****E
Among those 3, I would rather keep Insua. At least, he is young, hope that he can improve and learned by playing more. Also, he can attack.

And re-signing Fabio is another problem, he is never fit and Roy relies him as Konchesky's back-up?!

and Konchesky scored a wonder goal against us in the FA Cup Final

As I said Riise is another player of the same ilk, but the odd wonder goal masked his numerous defensive and general football failings

Riise was a proper liability for us at the end, notwithstanding that he regained some form at Roma.

I am afraid no matter how bad he was, our LB position has been considerably weaker since Riise left. Not to mention the attacking threat he offered.

                      A-****ing-Men, Riise was absolutely woeful.
1 free kick and a right foot shinner is all people remember a left back by when he was here 5-6 years.

                      Plus he was ginger

Can't disagree with that. Plus we've lost 5 goals or so he used to get a season

Precisely - he was pretty good going forwards, obviously something the great tactician Roy doesn't approve of. I suppose Uncle Roy does know best, hence the reason why we are looking like candidates for relegation

I'm 97% certain it was a cross - I'm sure most people would agree with that

Other than the **** up against Chelsea, can you think of any other failings? I can't - he was very good defensively and we were much better defensively when he was in the team

riise was our best left back and its a shame we all turned on him after a few **** ups but hindsight is a great thing.

as for the arguement over insua.......come off it - he was ****e in defense and ****e in attack. good ridance to young pish.

once aurelio gets fit we'll be better equiped on the left.

Riise had a mediocre season followed bay a very bad one. He was a good player for us for while- particularly under GH's lump-it-forward-tactics, but was exposed when we moved to more possession-based footy under Rafa.

There is no hindsight with Riise

                              He was ****ing cack

His goals masked his deficiencies defensively

He was constantly out of position

To me his performances defensively didnt change one bit, the only thing was he started off scoring a lot of spectacular goals and then as these diminshed over the seasons people started to look at what he really was

A very poor fullback in terms of defensive duties and someone whose passing consisted of ****ting the ball 50 yards down the pitch

Roy would probably see him as the ideal fullback

cant agree. riise was half decent. at least he had pace and an end product which is more than insua. at leat he was fit which is more than aurelio. at least he has hair which is more than konchesky. at least he could play which is more than drossena.
