OK, I agree with all of that, so what's changed from last season?

Alonso? Can't be that simplistic. Torres? N'Gog looked good.

Genuine question, no tongue in cheek, what's changed?

Good shout. Forgot that greedy cunt.

There's 4 players tonight that were shocking. Feel a bit bad being negative about Kuyt as i usually like him but he's been shocking of late.

Ngog looks a player. raw but a player none the less. thats two in the last two home games. he also won us the penalty, dive or no dive. it was his determination to make something happen.

Johnson is the most exciting attacking player since john barnes. he's wasted at fullback. get dirk out and play johnson on the wing.

masher looks like he's reached the level expected.

its great to have agger back.

          babel now needs some games.

skrtel is a shocking player. one of the worst defenders we've had. i'd rather we'd bought the johnson birmingham had, at least he wins headers at both ends of the field. we lack a defender who can head the ****ing ball.

our corners are the worst in world football, official!

we need to break this curse and ****ing kill any animal thats looks half up for a good slaughtering, 5, 10, 50, 100, 6000, 20,000 goats, cows, sheep, foxes, horses, kuyts, anything that moves and stinks.

He's fit to play 10 minutes, not 90.

Thought Johnson was fantastic, hardly done a thing wrong and was mr reliable tonight.
N'gog was quiet towards the end, but we all agree he is definately improving. The dive was poor attitude, but the work to get into the diving situation was class
with a little help from his captain he'll learn how to drag his feet to make a wee bit of contact and he'll be fine.

It's down to luck IMO and we don't seem to have that much at the moment (apart from the penalty). Last two games have been two very positive performances, and that's a good sign.
Goals are the only things that matter

We were the lucky ones today

We simply don't know how to win games, that victory over united now seems hollow and meaningless.

Bar their 2 goals?pish defending again.
I see where you are coming from with 2 very positive performances, but still we are still very light weight,we can't keep blaming it on lady luck every game.

It should be, no doubt, but a Liverpool team from the past few years, would have never gone down 2-1 at half time after leading 1-0.

There is not one thing that is positive this season. We have regressed from last season as the loss of xabi has unsettled the team as we have had two defensive midfielders in lucas and mash attempting to pull the strings but cannot do it like xabi use to. Our defence is **** and i believe it is down to sami not being here as the guy would have had a massive influence on the defence through training and others knowing he is on the bench and if they dont perform they could lose their place to a quality player like sami and not get it back. But this season with him gone there is no one to put pressure on the defenders.

Plus the fact we have one main striker and a lad just learning his trade.

lads, im sorry, but its just ****e defending,.

i know i have been harping on about this in the match thread but skyrtl is not good enough, his defence these days compromises of taking people from behind in rash challenges. he is the most frustrating player i have seen in a long time, his "pass" led to the second.

other than that, ngog did well, but without torres, we struggle to really create.

we lost benny and riera tonight, we are gone for this season, let consolidate and get 4th.

cant believe i am accepting 4th already, but do you know what, i'd snap your arm off for 4th!

Im 31 and the last 4 weeks have been the worst of my supporting life . ****e

Kuyt was really poor tonight. Time to give him a rest if we've got enough players to do so.
Anyone care to count how many back passes he made??? No vision, no aggression, passing piss poor. When he should have made that splitting pass he made side and back passes. How frystrating. Not sure what's his real position now. Looks more like a makeshift player to me. Rafa has to understand Kuyt is not a winger nor a midfieder and Rafa kept asking him to play at those positions and the players inside the box will have to wait till kingdom come before they get the ball.
