We hammered them to the 18 yard box then couldn't (in-capable) to do anything with it.

Once again we have about 3 to 4 players carrying the team tonight, the squad is very light weight with no real punch at times

I thought Johnson did well today.

Disappointing because despite some comments of some people we dominated that game and sadly one stunner and one bit of poor defending has cost us. We deserved to win and normally (last season) we would have.

We are a regular, uninteresting mid table team....

We had alot of pressure but didn't create enough chances and when we created chances we weren't prolific in front of goal. The defence was poor though we really needed to get more men in the box. Even with 10 mins to go at 2-2 we only had Ngog and Gerrard in the box. I think alot of players are afraid of taking the responsibility of shooting because they lack confidence
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

Rafa said Aquilani was fit to play against Lyon so why not play him tonight or bring him on for half hour? £20m on a player to sit on the bench?

That is an extremely ill thought out knee-jerk post that does you no credit at all.

Riera looked lively until his hamstring went, was certainly a handful for the time that he was on.
Thought Johnson was fantastic, hardly done a thing wrong and was mr reliable tonight.
N'gog was quiet towards the end, but we all agree he is definately improving. The dive was poor attitude, but the work to get into the diving situation was class

Ha ha ha. Sorry but you have to see the funny side of that quote. You are right, really, but surely it should be the other way round in that our attack should of been causing their defence problems and that says it all, doesn't it?

I'm sorry but when you fail to beat Birmingham at home it simply isn't good enough. Yes we created a ****load of chances and deserved to win but the fact of the matter is we didn't.

Well at least the rose tinted glasses brigade cannot say we still win the title. That one is put to bed and we can concentrate on champions league qualification and maybe the FA Cup.

Gerrard was inspirational. Thought Mascherano and Johnson were outstanding. Skrtel, Insua and Benayoun were average. I think Benayoun must make an impression in that game. He should have scored too. Dirk Kuyt was just getting in the way in the end. He is simply a wall to play a pass off I think. Thought he was poor. We should have won but our final ball into the box was too often overhit.

Rafa has never beaten Birmingham City in the Premier League.

Let's not over-analyse things please. We controlled the game since the beginning, Birmingham were pushed back and back and back and didn't offer anything at all going forward, bar their two goals. It's down to luck IMO and we don't seem to have that much at the moment (apart from the penalty). Last two games have been two very positive performances, and that's a good sign.

I hardly call our current run and my comment on it knee-jerk.

We needed to cheat to steal a point tonight - and look at our position in the league.
