    Aquilani has to start.

We are so threadbare as a team due to injuries we wil not win this game without him.

PS Debrecen are nones mugs so we need to beware

I have this horrible feeling lyon will do the business against Florence but we will draw against Debrecen
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

        Fingers crossed

However if we need a striker and there are no other options I'd have him on the bench as the fee we'l lose from the deal falling through will be alot less than the money we'd lose by failing to qualify for the next round.

i know ngog has done o.k. recently and i like his attitude but i really would prefer kuyt to start up top, i dont think ngog should be anywhere near a top 4 team.

i dont think he would make the bench of a top 4 or city/spurs squad. i actually find myself defending him to some mates but in my heart of hearts, i dont think he is good enough.

for example i would prefer a heskey or a cisse, and these players used to infuriate me

              whats everyones feelings on him?

I quite like him he seems to have a good attitude, seems quite confident, and has a decent goals return for the minutes he's played. He's still young and will improve, ideally though we'd have a good experienced striker as back up to Torres, but we don't and in my opinion with Torres out he's the best option we have!

I know we won't see it but I think that Ngog up top with Kuyt behind him and Gerrard right would be a good option. Although I guess there is a danger that it miht exacerbate the problem seen second half against City where all our attacking players stood within about 3 feet of each other in the middle.

It cannot be just a coincidence that the ex-Newcastle fitness coach(es) is/are on board and suddenly we experience the worst bout of injuries we've ever encountered? **** these clowns off.

Why? We're so fragile it's a joke. There is something fundamentally wrong at the moment - our players are made of glass. I can't recall anything like this situation ever.

I think that's a bit harsh. Granted he wasn't great on saturday i don't think we could have asked for much more from him this season, he's actually done better than i thought he'd do so i'm happy enough with him.

I still think it's absolutely scandalous we didn't bring in another striker in the summer to cover for Torres. Shocking

Yeah I noticed that, at the time and meant to mention it on here but forgot
