Thanjk you.

God i hate that phrase and what about the previous 2,3,4 games......if he's on the bench give him some minutes otherwise let him build up fitness which he is lacking in the reserves
I know it is hated, thats why I posted it.
In Rafa we trust...

We have some highly qualified medical experts and physios on this site?
How do any of us know what the best thing for him is? You've all seen his scan results and biometrics, watched him training and undergoing a work out with the physio etc etc
No?! So stop pretending and accept the fact he's along way from 100% physical fitness let alone match fitness!

He's being introduced slowly, as is right after a serious ankle injury...
Lets look at the matches he could have played...
City...two early injuries ruined any plans Rafa may have had to bring him on.
Debrecen...did you see the state of that pitch? I wouldn't have thrown a £17million player, with no match sharpness behind him, into a match like that, far too much at stake
Everton...high paced derby, us under the cosh...the two subs made...Riera and Benny...were the right ones and gave us more width. Maybe could have taken Gerrard off when the second went in, but again, i'd prefer to bring on Aqualani in a less frenetic setting.

And he acquires this match fitness how? By playing matches!!!!
He wouldn't be on the bench every game if he wasnt fit enough to play some part would he? I don't need to study biometrics to work that little out.

You're right, but he's not just going to be brought on to get fitness, we also have a match to think about...it'd be nice if we were 3-0 up and cruising, but we haven't been so Rafa is having to choose his moments...is this really so hard to understand?

Bar 11 regular starters they are all struggling to get match fitness that's why they should be ready when they're called on and make an impression during that time. That's the life of a professional footballer.
I still don't get the fixation on Aquilani. This is getting ridiculous.

You dont seem to be able it understand it either. At 2-0 that game was completely dead, yet he still never came on, even with Gerrard clearly flagging. What more opportunity did we need to bring him on?
I'm not advocating bringing him on in tense tight matches, but there have been several instances in the last few weeks where he could have came on and didnt, we all know that, I don't understand why you are all denying it? Im a huge rafa fan so I'm not outright slating him, but he's been overcautious here.
I bet there is not one person on this site who could honestly say they haven't been frustrated and a touch miffed at how little he has played so far? Not even Pete Best!

I don't give a flying **** about Aquilani, Gerrard, Torres or the Queen if we're winning games. That's the idea.
It seems we've steadied the ship a little since 4 or 5 games so let it be that way, win some more and maybe it will be the ideal time to introduce him. We can't rely on a player coming back from full fitness, this defies logic.

It's simple as that.
It's utterly impossible arguing with you because you are incapable of staying on topic. Your mind is like a car crash.
