I think this will be fine, we'll make the ****ers work their bollocks off the first half and then bring on Torres and Aquilani with half hour to go and tear them a new one.

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

He's not as bad as you're making him out to be Joe but what bugs me is that we are playing Wigan at Anfield tonight - a team that has recently conceded nine goals and we are setting out with three centre backs, two left backs and the world's least dangerous striker/attacking player.

It just all seems so negative. Why couldn't Darby or Degen start at right back? Surely they're capable of playing against Wigan.

It's Benitez's natural cautious game. The team is weak at the moment and rather than paper over the cracks and boost some confidence, Benitez would prefer a clean sheet and some 'hard working' and 'controlling' rather than winning comfortably.
