His point was valid though, regardless of how it was put.

Our style of play, or lack of, is the worst I've seen in 35 years (living memory)

We have to act now. Atleast Kenny could pick the right starting line. Temporary solution only till the end of the season

We need a positive manager who can pick a positive attacking line-up. We cannot continue with this negative football with 6 players sitting behind the half way line

The King is a fan of Rafa so surely he would employ similar tactics?

to be fair i remember when we played away to arsenal one year and started with 7 defenders and big jan in the middle. i think hooper was in goal. we got tonked 3-0. he made mistakes too.

Looks like Rafa was attempting to blame the ref in the broadcast on Sky a few mins ago. Can't agree I'm afraid.

To be honest I'm not one for being bothered about our style of play as long as we are winning but when that isn't happening you can't help but think we have to change the way we are playing.

Surprised he isn't blaming the pitch.

No, you problem is you have such short memory, you said 5 years of Rafa was the problem, that shows you have an extremely short memory.

I can handle your opinions. I just they are not very good

rafa has a style based on arrigo sachi's much heralded 'catenaccio' method of football.

Its based on a strong defence and stopping the opposition from playing. It works really well in Italy but not in the EPL and that's been proven by our results over the past 5 seasons.

Last season was a fluke where we were carried by gerrard, torres, alonso and benayoun.

Rafa's methods have been proven not to work. How much more proof do we need before we make the change ?

We should contact inter and ask if they could swap jose for rafa. From whats been said they probably wouldnt be averse to it.

For those who champion rafa - its time to open your eyes and look at the devastation that this season has brought.

Rafa's time has come to and end.

That's the heartbreaking thing isn't it? To have to chose- cos I do love the bloke.

I'm not convinced someone else could come in and turn it around but I can't see any other way out.
                          3rd place. Worst champions ever.

It is truly a torture to watch the game. We're so poor that we made Pompey looks so good. How frustrating. I'm not sure what's inside Rafa's mind now. He looks into the details too much but he has looked too deep into it and lost the plot. Overly cautious in games will eventually cause him his job plus the same **** team he puts out every week that creates absolutely nothing. The no of backpasses just shows how good we are plus we hardly attempt to get into the penalty box shows how scared we are of the opposition defence.

At least he's not in love with Kuyt........I hope.
