I am still of the impression that Rafa needs to get until the end of the season but it's slipping fast. I don't think we can get a good replacement in with what's available right now but there are two major issues with the predicament we are in.

4th in looking increasingly unlikely. I think if the arse win today we are 8 points behind fourth. We need more than just Villa to slip up, we now need Villa, Spurs and City to all slip up. This is not a reasonable scenario. Rafa's guarantee of 4th is starting to look silly.

Either the players are all seriously lacking in confidence or he has lost the dressing room. Some appalling performances today.

I think we have no option (or money) but to let Rafa see out the season. His inability to stop the slide is a huge issue for me. I think the best managers would have gee'd the players up and respond with a winning run. We will never win the league under him. The football we play is dire. The two holding midfielders and reliance on Torres beating 4 defenders on his own is not going to work, but he won't change. It's a sad, sad time for our beloved club.

Today's game is a perfect example of why we can and should replace Rafa. Pompey have been crap all year. They bring in Grant and guess what, things turn around just about instantly.

Changing managers isn't guaranteed to fix the problem, but at this point there really isn't much left to do. I can't believe that with his past track record with transfers that Rafa will be given any money to buy in January.

From what I've seen so far this year Rafa has completely lost perspective on what it is that he's here to do. He seems to treat his players like they are emotionless machines, simply there to do his bidding. And guess what, that's what they are playing like. It's time for a breath of fresh air.

The thing is Marky he wants to play alongside quality which he is currently not, and rightly so too.

Do you play football yourself? If so you will understand that when you play alongside quality footballers that your confidence increases and you play better.

Let's face it, Stevie's been carrying this team for a long time now whilst still maintaing and extremely high level of performance year in year out, he's probably had enough of it as he knows he is better than everyone else and he expects the same from those alongside him and he's not getting that.

I hate seeing him not bothering as much as you do but what else can you except?

He can't pull the team through everytime, he's only human like the rest of us. Torres is the only other in this squad that has the necessary skill and passion that he wants, the rest of them are a disgrace to the shirt.
