Liverpool boss Rafael Benitez:
"I think that the team were good in the first half and we were controlling the game. We conceded a goal but we had control.
"After the sending off of Mascherano everything changed.
"The referee was perfect," he added sarcastically. "He was perfect when not giving fouls to Torres. He was perfect in everything."

Exactly, happy with a first half in which we never managed a shot on target!Originally posted by Rich View PostThis is what's infuriating - Rafa was happy with much of what he saw in the first half. I'm not, and I'm sure most of you lot aren't either.
Perhaps he genuinely likes watching ****e football?!

I think you're reading a bit to much into his comments. Like most managers im sure it's a completely different story behind closed doors which is the way it should be done.Originally posted by Rich View PostThis is what's infuriating - Rafa was happy with much of what he saw in the first half. But it's at dire times like this when he needs to consider the fans and not feed us bull****. In Houllier's final season it infuriated me that he would not admit our failings, Rafa is now starting to do the sameOriginally posted by Chris View PostI think you're reading a bit to much into his comments. I have the feeling he thinks the fans are still behind him and will be enjoying his dry wit again. He should have used that interview to apologise and promise things will improve, instead he comes out with the biggest wank of an excuse imaginable. I've gone from being enraged by him to being ****ing well disgusted.Originally posted by Bender View PostLiverpool boss Rafael Benitez:

He doesnt need to say anything, it's just a crappy media interview. I dunno why people get so obsessed with them, every manager out there says the same old cliched rubbish.Originally posted by Pablo1981 View PostBut it's at dire times like this when he needs to consider the fans and not feed us bull****.
