Well, it's coming to a head either way now, with this new announcement from Purslow that investment is as good as nailed on, and would just take a couple of months to sort.

And the Councils admission that they had been assured work would start this year.

If h&g fail to deliver on this latest attempt to build 'New Anfield' then i think we'd see them gone.

is the council having any imput with the new grounds ie any funding coming from them, any one with the right mind would like a piece of that pie just look at it what a stadium i know theowners say they have no money but they seem to have there fingers in loads of pies where money is coming in they just dont seem to like our pasties

I hope it still has Anfield in the title, like the 'Coca Cola Anfield Stadium' or whoever the sponsor is. Grounds with only the sponsors name sound crap 'The Reebok Stadium', 'The JJB Stadium', 'The DW Stadium' etc. That way the rest of us can ignore the sponsorship and just call it Anfield, thus providing a link to our history
The only gracious way to accept an insult is to ignore it; if you can't ignore it, top it; if you can't top it, laugh at it; if you can't laugh at it, it's probably deserved.

All that really matters is what the fan's call it. It will always just be "Anfield" to most won't it?
