I get sick hearing all the "the players don't want to play for Rafa" stuff (not from you guys). It's bollocks. They are paid ( a fortune) to do their job to the best of their ability. I may not like my manager but I'm paid to do my job, so I do it.
If they don't want to do their best then they can leave. Every single one of us would give our right arms to play for this club for free, let alone £50k + a WEEK!

It's gone all ****in soft on RAWK. Rafa love-in remembering the good old days. Fine. Nothing wrong with a bit of reminiscing. Point is they can't separate Rafa the man from Rafa the manager. Rafa the man deserves our thanks and our respect. I like and admire the guy. But Rafa the manager appears to have no way to turn this around. A world class manager would not have allowed this slide to continue for this long. This however seems to be lost on the RCDNW merchants on RAWK. No one can criticise Rafa on that site, despite the evidence on the pitch that shocks us weekly now. 'Whoppers' they call them. Some of them should remind themselves that we are Liverpool fans, and that Rafa, Stevie G, and Nando will be gone in ten years and we will still be here, supporting the team wearing all red (for those of you watching in black-and-white, Liverpool are the team with the ball - how great those days were!! :-)).

Now their self-proclaimed deity over there, Shanks Legend, has just come out against Rafa. Giving his opinion, pretty much, that he's fed up of the obvious decline on the pitch. Well this has thrown the proverbial cat in amongst them. They've turned on their own. At least on this site different opinions are welcomed and people get a fair shot. RAWK is a bunch of nutters flexing their muscles if you ask me. One of their own expressing an opinion has turned their intolerant world upside down.

Yes, time for a change before its too late. Rafa has gambled and its not paid off. If you look at last season, there were times we rode our luck, his name was Xabi. Today the best ball playing midfield maestro is gone and look at the situation we in. Alonso was the heart and soul of this team and its shows. Forget Gerrard, for me personally, Xabi was the man.

Get rid of Rafa now and lets move forward quickly

I love Rafa I really do but...

He must stop trying to be a tactical genius and sometimes just allow instinctive play.
He makes baffling decisions again and again.

And it would be nice for the players and us to see him genuinely, and I mean genuinely show some passion when we score - even a bloody smile.
Make the players feel good sometimes ffs - we could win 52-0 and he'd still say "There is room for improvement"

If only one ounce of the happy go lucky guy we see in PC's would stand in the dug-out it might help.

Inter are after SG for £40m apparently. I'd take that at his age. On top of that, I'd flog:

                    Kuyt £8m - headless
                    Johnson £10m - useless at defending/injury prone
                    Aquilaini £8m - too weak
                    Riera £5m - too injured
                    Ngog £2m - too poor
                    Babel £8m - disinterested
                    Mascherano £25m - overrated
                    Skrtel £5m - a weak link
                    Benayoun - £8m - overrated

Which'd be £119m to rebuild, with the board throwing in another £50m. That's get us c. 8 £20m players. At least, then, we'd clear some of the deadwood and start again. Thank God Utd are dreadful too (albeit 2nd). Spurs have a strike force of Pavlyuchenko, Keane, Defoe, Crouch - compare that to us. We need a complete rebuild. Alec Ferguson is not afraid to make wholesale changes of this ilk. I don't think Benitez is a strong as that.
Wouldn't agree with selling Gerrard. Dont think that position needs any justification.

Johnson - he was quality the first couple of months into the season. I like him, and he's English. I wouldn't sell him either.

Ngog for 2 million? What would be the point in that? He's done pretty well this season. I think he'll develop into a player that is worth much more than 2 million.

Benayoun for 8. With Yossi we have a solid preimership player who can play anywhere across the 3 attacking midfield positions. I dont think we'd get another player of his quality for 8 million.

As for the rest... sure, whatever

Jobi Maradona showed everything what this team lacks. Bottle, heart and desire. The players don't want to play for the manager, that is clear. A mate of mine told me that Gerrard and Senor Clipboard had a massive tiff at HT. Hardly surprising since the yesman does **** all.

I couldnt give a flying **** if Gerrard has fallen out with Benitez. He's the captain of his hometown team and shouldnt need someone to put an arm round his shoulder to encourage him to play. Any fan would give their right arm to wear that shirt, and he'd do well to remember that, the soft cunt. I expect him to play for the people of Liverpool, the fans around the world and for pride, and if he cant do that for £120k a ****ing week, he can **** off and spread his man-love all over Maureen.
