Define threat?Originally posted by PeteBest View PostAlonso didn't pose much of a threat either, that's why Rafa opted for a more attacking midfielder in Aquilani.
Alonso was virtually always the passer before the assist, or indeed the player providing the assist.
His ability to dictate play and switch play made him a threat.
Plus he'd shoot from 50yards which meant the keeper stuck to his line...

I meant direct goalscoring threat, that's at what the poster alluded to I think.Originally posted by Rich View PostDefine threat?

Spot on and i make no apologies for calling him a ****** THIS SEASON.Originally posted by BillobShaisley View PostIf it was a recent thing I might agree, but as I say he's been like this since the start of the season. I think he's pissed that Xabi left (or possibly that he's not been allowed to have an operation and is thinking about the world cup) and has been sulking which has dragged down morale and confidence in the whole squad, that's not good enough from a Captain.
He's a sulky, arrogant wee ****er that needs a good kick up the backside.
It's pretty obvious that he thinks he's too good for LFC now.Last edited by Marky; 15-01-10, 07:16 PM."Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. If what's being suggested is true, then it's a weakness of mentality and character - a sign of human nature perhaps. He's not doing it on purpose.Originally posted by Marky View PostSpot on and i make no apologies for calling him a ****** THIS SEASON.

What part of that makes him a '******'?
And if he's a ******, what's your definition of a 'supporter' who openly abuses one of the best players and legends his club's ever had? Club captain and longtime talisman and saviour, too.
Whatever i may think of our players and what they do on a pitch, and whatever criticisms i might have of their performances etc, it'd never enter my mind to come outright and call them a '******'.
I cant fathom how naturally this seems to come to you.
