No, I disagree, he has faced a much more difficult challenge here, but you can't say he has hit a wall on the basis of one season.
I agree that he has faced a more difficult challenge here, but given the way this season has gone I have lost faith that it can be turned around. See my above post containing the league tables etc.

That just show Gonazalez to be a tit.

How has he messed those players around? Seriously you are talking ****e.
Babel has played **** - not a left winger doesnt even have a left foot period.
Keane was not good enough - ****ed around constantly and has his confidence destroyed by benitezBellamy was not good enough and attacked Riise - bellamy has gone on to prove that he is a great player and has been one of the best players this season again constantly messed around by rafa
Crouch or Torres, you decide - no decision to make but he still messed crouch around by not playing him in the CL final against milan when we lost
Aquilani has been getting to match fitness - yeah by coming on for the last minute against fiorentina.
who are you trying to kid ?

Rafa messes players around and some of our fellow forumites believe that players like turan should be signing for us. Why ? He's not a rafa player because he is a skilfull individual and rafa doesnt like individuals or players with characters.

If you want to blindly back rafa knock yourself out but at least have a closer look at the bollocks that you are posting.

But that is totally based on just one season though and there have been many factors around our poor form this year that can be worked upon.

Well Rafa certainly hasn't lost the dressing room just yet, imo.

From the BBC thing. This **** needs to stop...

From Paul in Carshalton, via text on 81111: "I'm reading reports that Rafa has resigned, or been sacked. Any truth in that?"
Nope. Not that we've heard, anyway. Will keep you posted.
            Really?

              Confused by today's performance.

If you'd told me at the end of last season that we'd start a game with Degen and Aurelio playing on the wing's i would have laughed my ass off. Carragher today showed that he is past it IMO, the way he went to the floor intentionally in some tackles showed to me that he didnt want to risk missing the challenge and chasing the ball. The greek had a good game, as did Lucas in parts, Reina controlled the box perfectly as usual, their goal came on the back of a rookie mistake of ball-following, something everybody was guilty of. Was again disappointed in the area's that Kuyt got hold of the ball, I remember an instance where he was taking a pass in at the half way line and there were at least 3-4 of our players moving forward ahead of him.

Is it just me or does anybody else think Pepe has aged terribly this year? I think he is really taking our troubles personally

Babel looks average no matter where has played, I find it unbelievable that people defend him. Keane wasn't good enough, Bellamy wasn't good enough with us and attacked Riise with a golf club. You make that decision on one game with Crouch, ok, ignore the fact that Rafa played him plenty of other times when he was getting stick for it. Aquilani is still getting to match fitness.

Yeah ok, that is why he bought Garcia.

You have failed, yet again to make a salient point.

We were never, ever, EVER gonna go there today and play champagne football. The performance IMO was just what the doctor ordered. FFS we showed heart, guts and some ****ing fight for once. I've been wondering if those players cared, especially after Reading, and now I know they do. They really do. So in that sense I'm pleased.

Reina was outstanding, as were Lucas and Kyrgiakos. Skrtel was much better, as was Insua.

We got back to basics and put some foundations in place to move forward. I had no confidence for the Spurs game and today has given me some. Should've won anyway after that utterly disgraceful decision from that CUNT LEE Mason...and how did Dirk miss that at the end (what a ball from Fabio too)?

I'd go along with that, all things considered I think we worked hard and did OK.

But even so, drawing away at Stoke is a **** result.

The Spurs game is now MASSIVE. Lose on Wednesday night and....well, I just don't want to think about it....

The team today wasn't meant to display flair and creativity it was about grit and determination.

No, our creative players where just not really a realistic option today for various reasons.

cannot agree more...yet whilst I accept that LFC has been below par...the two penalties not given today means FOUR consecutive penalties not given to the club in the last games: (against Arsenal, against A Villa and two today). The Whelans and Souness of this world can hate Rafa all they like, yet referees must be fair; they dont have the prerpgative to hate the club and Rafa too. I challege anybody from all divisions to name and shame a worse treatment by referees...since the Birmingham game refs are refusing to grant a ****in penalty. No ref will dare do this to Arsenal, Chelski or Manure. Politics and football go hand in hand.

Are you having a laugh or what.

Poor poor performance against a team that theive of a long thow in specialist who incidentally where alot lesss threatening after they lost two of there more important players.

Lets not forget that liverpool struggled to put a few passes together today and to be honest we are paying players like kuyt to put the ball in the back of the net not to run around vigourously.

If I wanted hard working / limited end product I would be calling for dave bassett as the new manager.

                            Aquilani, playmaker on the bench.
Rodrigues attacking midfielder on the bench.
Pacheco talented striker on the bench

                            today we player 1-8-2

and guess what, we got what our ambition deserved. nothing but a point.

Sorry, but I dont recognise this Liverpool anymore.
Jacques Brel is alive and well and playing at Anfield

ok I give up - You are totally right once again.

                              Right Rafa for an MBE

Is that better ? THere is no point arguing with you because you cant see reality. Keane was an international footballer when he signed for us and a premiership star. He should have been the missing link but rafa destroyed his confidence by subbing him constantly and by putting him on the bench even if he played well the game previous all because he didnt buy barry and keane didnt fit into his master plan.

Craig bellamy had an outstanding season before he joined us and was never ever given a proper chance. the quote that came out was that he only ever told bellamy to run all the time when he finally got on. He just wanted bellamy to work hard and craig to be fair to him has proved that he is a genuine quality player.

Babel - is a brainless turd but he has pace, has power and can win matches single handedly. No matter what he does he will never be given a run of matches and even if he played well he was sub next match.

Crouch - fine, but he deserved better than what he got. FFS prefering kuyt to crouch is a joke.

There's no point carrying this on because you believe that all the players he messed around were **** anyway and it doesnt matter. But you are totally wrong.

Aquilani, still getting match fitness and played 120 mins on Wed.
                                Maxi, only just got here.
Pacheco would have got slaughtered in a game like today, that is a very ill-thought out suggestion.
