I expected the win at tottenham since we seem to play harder against the large teams, but this game I expected nothing so I didnt do the usual stay up till 5am to watch it. Infact I even chose not to bother recording it to watch when I woke up. Good thing that. Useless team with a useless manager.

I enjoyed the last 25 minutes but I was looking that 6x speed to get something happen on the field.

It hurts me to say, but I'm happier when not watching Liverpool this season than actually watching the matches. Opted for watching denmark playing handball instead because at least it would bring me some excitment and not leave me totally depressed after the game if we didn't win.

But it sounds like it was a **** game yet again and I can see the game in my head. I just don't know what it takes this season??? We come on from a massive win over tottenham in the weekend, and have everything to play for to keep our run going and getting to the CL - yet we can't produce anything

Where is the urgency? Where is the passion to win? Where is the pride ffs?

Of the top of my head I can only name Torres, Reina, Mascher, the Greek and N'gog that has keept any sort of drive going throughout the season. You could perhaps add Riera and Agger in the few games they have played

Well that was an amazing game you lucky cunts Guess it's D-day tomorrow, how do you rate your chances against Croatia? IMO Croatia didn't deserve a draw against us (Iceland), I think you could have a chance leaving two nordic countries to top the group.

But what a penalty throw to claim the win how composed do you have to be to lob the goalie when there is 0 seconds left on the clock and for the win

But hope Iceland and Denmark go through, and we have a good chance both of us. I am really impressed by the icelandic national team right now, such a good team spirit on the team, and you guys can play with the same 6 for a whole match more or less!

We simply have to battle on until the end of the season and if something doesn't seriously pick up then a wholesale change is required.

Unfortunatley that is the most accurate statement i have seen; we are not going to turn around our dire form this season.

I can't put my finger on why not, but grinding out results & scraping 4th is the best we are going to get out of the season..........

riera looked ****ing knackered after 20 mins but played the full game.
maxi played when he too looked like he has no stamina for a full game.
lucas and mash again in midfield to destroy all creative attacking play ......... play one or the other FFS rafa.
Aqua, who has been one of our best performers in the last few games didnt even get on for the obligatory 10 min cameo role when we were crying out for someone like him to unpick the wolves defense.
degen ( cant beleive i'm saying this ) dropped from right mid where he has been a very capable player of late and not even put in at right back.......instaed carra "i'm no attacking threat at all" played there.
babel didnt get a sniff when his pace on the counter could have worked for us.

hard not to feel we've gone backwards again. but this is the reality of scrapping for 4th place. if we were better we wouldn't be here.

regarding rafa - i don't know why he plays 2 defensive mids against wolves but last night i far preferred lucas to the increasingly annoying mascherano. it's all well and good doing ninja style tackles on some ****** we all hate but there's a bit more to playing in midfield than that. at least lucas plays simple passes that keep possession. i always wondered why maradona claimed that mascherano would be the rock upon which future argentinian success would be built and last night the reason finally came to me - it's because maradona hasn't a ****in clue. the amount of possession mascherano gave away last night was absolutely criminal. maybe when he has better players around him he seems better but he's just a destroyer for us.

i would have most definitely played lucas and aquilani but i suppose that's hindsight for you.

why the **** have 5 attackers on the bench and only use one when you need something?
