      it is - we just don't look either confident enough or strong enough to fight for 4th and go for the europa - there are other teams there that will be going all out to win it.

      It just shows how **** football is nowadays - finishing 4th in the league is more important than winning what is the UEFA cup.
      i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

        I think UEFA cup is derided too much though, UEAF needs to promote it further and even out the prize money if possible in order to make more lucrative and entertaining, there are decent teams in it but the financial gap between them is out of proportion - it would also help the smaller teams to improve.

              aye - UEFA just saw the money - they went all out with the champions league, made a **** load of money and ruined the UEFA cup.

                Since you can qualify for the Europa League via the Champions League but not other way round then the Europa League is obviously the more important and prestigious competition.

                    Good to see no 45. Seen that alex cankickit a few times in reserves. The boy has skills !! And our left side is an issue.

                          seriously couldnt give a toss about the europa league. be nice to win something this year but i have no respect for this trophy so if we dont win it then no big deal.

                              Why would there be a conflict of interest? We own his registration now, we didn't loan him. That's like saying Benni McCarthy shouldn't play against Blackburn in any competition because it's a conflict of interest.

                                I have to say I never really understood the whole 'cup tied' thing anyway, I can see the case for players on loan, but other than that what's the point?
