How many members do SOS have, I read that Man U's anti Glazer group has past 100,000.
The King was back for a short while. Long live The King.

i am not pro SOS i dont like the name. Dont like the fact its called a union. and dont like the fact its a political fight. Dont like the munich song thing

Apart from that the aim to get rid of the yanks is a good one.

whether you like them or not at least SOS are trying to do something about it. whereas on here people would rather just slate them for trying to do something about it, why dont you try and do somethign yourself if you have any better ideas, or then again most most porbably dont and therefore are just prepared to roll over and and sit it out to see what happens, with that attitude we may not have a club left.

As for the munich song it is well documented it shouldn't have happended and wasn't to do with SOS but its ok for Utd fans to sing constant anti LFC songs at every single game no mention in the press of that is there

if you cared for the club you would want to do somthing about it and I get the impression on here not many do hence the extremley negative attitude towards SOS and thats fine but dont therefore knock someone for trying to do something

actually i can sit here and slate them. they dont represent me. and i am not convinced that they are making any difference. I am not sure they are doing harm but they are definately not helping.

so next time a footballer runs round like a headless chicken and posses no ability we should all go well done lad you tried.

we should be able to criticise people who are not helping the situation.

The disagreement is because many don't feel you're doing anything constructive and fetching negative PR on the club for no net gain.

A bit of a strawman to say anyone who disagrees with SOS doesn't care for the club and quite a ridiculous leap. If they didn't care for the club they wouldn't care about you making the club look bad.

blah, blah, blah, we've heard this trotted out far too many times now

As for the munich song it is well documented it shouldn't have happended and wasn't to do with SOS but its ok for Utd fans to sing constant anti LFC songs at every single game no mention in the press of that is there

but a) it did happen, b) when the booked singer is on camera singing that song then yes it is something to do with sos and c) what other fans do is irrelevant in this

if you cared for the club you would want to do somthing about it and I get the impression on here not many do hence the extremley negative attitude towards SOS and thats fine but dont therefore knock someone for trying to do something

massive assumption that if you're not tubthumping you're doing nothing, I haven't bought anything from the store for around 18 months which means my daughter isn't going to have a stockpile of kits through the years when she grows up which by rights she should have, and I haven't bought anything at the match in the same time, so I actually am doing something and I know that I'm not the only one on here doing the same but you have the gall to tell us we're doing nothing, I would politely request that you refrain from such sweeping statements in future

were up to 4500 paid up members .... 18,500 on face book and around 3000 on twitter ... united's main group which i believe is MUST have been established since the proposed Murdoch Sky takeover in 1999 ... and the more militant organisation which is IMUSA which came to form in 1995 .... the 2 have aligned themselves to swell the numbers to what you've mentioned .... a couple of points which need adressing there ... we have only been on the landscape for 2 years ,so we're behind the 8 ball straightaway as regards them .... mine and the unions hopes are that we evolve into a strong ,respected , committed movement intent on listening to our members in a democratic manner [for those indifferent to the politics of it, its got to be that way, there can be no other] the proffessionalism will come with experience and we'll keep the whole shabang transparent [thats key]
for the lad/lass who mentioned us being called a union then i can understand his concerns ...unions have always had a stigma attached to them, for me though, we've always been about setting trends, and being trailblazers ... we've shown individualism and thats set us apart as a great city ...the first football supporters union in britain ... now thats got a nice ring to it [one for your grandkids to tell]and thats what drives me personally ... getting a better club for my 6 year old daughter and not to stand aside whilst Rome burns [apologies for the bluntness]
to that end i can only extend the hand of friendship for anyone thinking of joining

of course, after the victory party.

It will just be interesting to see, will the group lose some of it's draw and slip into the background as people 'move on' after hicks and gillette

I think they'd actively seek to build and maintain regular interaction with whoever the new owner(s) would be, and continue engaging in dialogue with them, moving forward.

I'm fairly convinced they'd be campaigning for supporter representation on the board, too.

Just my opinion though, i cant speak for them. Even though they're only too keen to speak for me

i'm genuinely interested too see what happens. i'm sure that those actively involved will continue to try and work closer with the club for the fans - i just have a feeling, and i don't mean this too come across as negativity or the wrong way - thats if hicks and gillette left, SOS may suffer as people move on to so something else - "Hicks And Gillette out" is the main attraction, driving force and recruitment tool for SOS, without them a lot of the 'bandwagon members' would probably drift away.

I would agree, there has to be (and I'm sure there probably is) other items on the agenda, be it accessability to tickets, travel to away games etc... if SOS are serious about hanging around and doing what is right for the club then there must be other concerns/issues that straddle the Parry/Moores and Hicks/Gillette regimes

On the whole 'making the club look bad' front, I can't help thinking that the pair of odious ****weasels in charge have cornered that particular market.

thats it in a nutshell .... ideally helping a new regime repair the damage of whats gone on before and engaging dialogue so the last two years events can be avoided again .... the new custodians would be reminded of their responsibilities and together we'd all endeavour to get liverpool back to were it should be ... competing on the pitch and just as importantly off it
