Well, here we are in a room with two manky hookers and a racist dwarf. I think I'm heading home.

Problem with Kenny is he's too long out of the game.

No doubt we'd all cheer like 10 Christmas's had come at once, but the shine would wear off and my fear would be it would take some of the sheen of his idol status.

For that reason I don't want him in the job. He's too important an icon to risk in a likely failed venture.

        Never go back.
        .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Just out of interest would that sentiment go for players too ? There's a couple I'd certainly have back, Alonso for one?

            Me too

Although Alonso is still doing the same job that we'd be getting him back to do. Dalglish isn't, and hasn't done for 10 years, so I think there is a difference there.

            Please come back Xabi

No. Thinking about it it doesn't even go for girlfriends.

But it would apply to Kenny Dalglish as manager.

So yes I would probably have Alonso back. He's very much the exception and even then there are others I'd have in instead if possible.

Louis Van Gaal would be a good option for me. A lot better than Martin O'Neill and Roy Hodgson.

Re Kenny coming back.... and he being too long out of the game etc..

So what.., I just dont get that it definitely wouldnt work...

He knows the club, the ethos and the way to play. He can instill confidence and stability, he could have key aides with him such as Sammy Lee, Rush, McAllister - bring in Hyppia also. Ok its pie in the sky stuff.

But its not a total impossibility.. Why cant a man who's achieved so much as a player and manager here, be just as capable as the sound bite specialist Translator!

Only thing, as Neil said that I would fear is that if things went drastically wrong it would tarnish his legendary status.
                    'and boy could he play!.

I imagine he would be easily tempted from the nice stable, league topping CL finalists who also happen to be the most cash rich club in Europe to come and take over a club not in the CL and with no transfer funds and proven liars as owners.

You saying that makes me feel much more confident that he'll stay.

I'm working from the assumption that we'll have new owners, otherwise, it's O'Neill who's probably coming IMO.

All the sniping going on in the media between the club and Rafa can only end one way.

Why? The media is hardly reliable is it.
