That wasn't an insult, just a fact. Did I say that we were great this season, I think not, so I really can't argue with posts which 'implied' what I never said.

Just putting you 'average' comment into context. i.e. it's ****e.

How is it ****e? You're all banging about Mourihno but I've shown parallels that he has the same style as Rafa. There's undeniable evidence that he has built his teams spending a lot of money, arguably not Porto - which had an excellent team when he took charge anyway.

If you want to argue a point please do it, just don't come round replying to my posts and taking it out of context, it really pisses me off.

Nobody can be happy with our current situation and maybe a new manager is the solution. However, I think most people seem to believe that only José can fix it ... and I just don't believe that. There must be other managers around equally or even more suited for the job.

Finally. Yes, obviously I do not have the certain knowledge that he may never come under the current circumstance, but wanted to express my absolute conviction. Sometimes this may sound as a fact (as it does in a normal conversation over a pint) but has to be seen in the context of this being a football forum, where such facts would end up last.

No offence taken, mate, as we are here to discuss, as long as the respect for each other's oppinions remains intact.
To be fair, the 'my home' thing was partly to placate the chelsea fans, who obviously now need no excuse to start hating him for last night. Like most of his sound bites, i take it with a pinch of salt and for what it was.

I wouldnt say Mourinho's the only manager who could do better for us, but i do think he's the best of the options and i've read so much on the sheer awe and admiration he holds for LFC, that i'm fairly sure he'd come to us. His ego is such, that even despite lack of budget, he'd still think he would succeed. He always thinks he'd succeed, whatever the circumstances.

As for the 'saying something as fact' bit - i actually do agree with you Nobody offers an opinion which they dont think is correct, after all. It just doesnt get people very far on here, as i've learnt

It's not obligatory to reply though. If you do keep it civil and on topic and everyone is good.

To everyone else: could you at least attempt to offer a riposte other than just claiming an opinion is ****e. If nothing else needs to be said then consider the option of saying nothing.

There's absolutely nothing to definitely say that Mourihno is a better manager than Rafa. Yes he's won trophies but making parallels just based on trophies without taking into consideration other factors is plain daft IMO. And it's not a feat beating Chelsea this season, they're distinctly average.
We currently have the 3rd or 4th best squad in the PL, but we're not 3rd or 4th.

So sometimes, achieving 'just' what you're 'meant to' isnt such a bad thing - we're not managing it, after all.

As for Chelsea being distinctly average - what does that make us then?

I still don't know how your reply added anything to the discussion.

                          @Craig
As I only read his comment and did not hear it, I admit, that your interpretation may be correct, some things can get lost in communication ... and there is no arguing about the nature of his ego (which probably part of what makes him so popular).

By the end of the day, the decisions will not be made by the supporters, so we will just have to wait an see. In my experience with my local amateur team, the kettle always threatens to boil over after a run of poor results but the mood swings as soon as success returns.

                          Only time can tell ...

P.S. I take you advise as I have noticed some rather deep running animousities on here and I have no intention on getting involved.

There are explanations as to why we've been **** this season but keep dismissing them and keep on banging on how bad Rafa is, how defensive minded his teams are etc ....

there is, but then there has been no need to play lucas/Masher in the centre in 75%+ games this season and no need to have persevered with Kuyt when he is obviously struggling.

That is down to Rafa as far as I am aware........
