i know what the fan means. shanks said football is a simple game etc. however i will mention clough. his mantra was very much that. however to the end of his career his staff actually managed his team as his simple approach was not enough any more. capello van gaal maureen etc etc they will have some complicated game plans. as i say the game has moved on.
Thing is though I think our squad has been so well drilled by Rafa that a chance to unwind under a manager with the passion of Kenny could see this team play at a whole new level.

Kenny is the only manager that I could trust at the helm whilst the Americans are in control.

No. Maybe these posters could build a bunker in the bottom of their garden, buy lots of tinned food, and lock themselves away, waiting for the end. Might save the rest of us from being subjective to doom and gloom ever five minutes which, whether it turns out to be true or not, would certainly be preferable.
This is a forum, you dont have to read the doom and gloom, you have a choice failing that build yourself a bunker

As for the "rest of us" it seems to be a 50/50 split, so it is not like "you" are the majority.

We are screwed and will continue to be screwed until the two cunts sell out 100% with no strings attached. If you do not believe that, you must be living in cuckcoo land

it would be brilliant if Kenny put it up whiskey nose.

for the reasons i have outlined i dont think it would happen.

i do think that lots of managers could come in and give an instant lift to the team. i do not think that lots of managers could actually produce a successful league season for us. i also hink we need to know what players we will have.

fingers crossed that it goes well.

But they haven't been out of the game.
What I am saying is that Rafa over complicated things particularly last season when it all unravelled.

Harry Redknapp took a good Spurs team on a hell of a run last season playing simple football.

I bet if we had brought Kenny into the job in January we would have made that top 4 place instead of sticking with another few months of Rafa's **** tacticsManagers of 20 years ago, you people people like Lippi, Fergie, Hodgeson etc etc etc??? If Kenny wanted a job he could have got one anytime but we all know he's only interested in Liverpool

....and you cannot prove Kenny can?could or would do it. The basis of your argument is fundamentally floored

I think the king has only been out of football 'management' since 2000 and I'm pretty sure he would have kept himself up to date or in and around football as I'm sure he would have a few contacts from his time 'in the game' to keep him informed and he has been back with us for a few years which is plenty of time to acclimatise

Btw I'm not to sure who I would like to take over as manager so I'm not taking a side in this argument and I dont fancy being called a prick for my opinion
                  RIP IRWT post/rant, best ever

I don't think the argument that football has moved on is terribly valid when used to dismiss kenny's credentials.

Nearly all of his contemporaries are still working and are still being successful. People like slur alex, lippi etc. Remember kenny walked away whilst still relatively young. Kenny knows the game as well as anyone and he loves the club.

The day to day coaching is not always the preserve of the manager. It was for a micro manager like Rafa but it is not for someone like O'neill. Kenny would be an inspiration to everyone. I would be happy for him to do it but would be fearful if it went wrong because for me he is a legend and I would not wish his legenday status to be jeopardised.

I'd take Kenny as manager over 99% of the ****e that has been mentioned on here.

Why hasn't Dalglish taken over, or stated that he wants the job? Why is he merely helping Purslow find a successor? Could it be that he doesn't think he is the man for the job?
                          Really?
