Or even Hodgson.Originally posted by cream View PostHe'll be pleased to hear that.
What do think of Hodgeson ?
If you're going to be a pedant for humorous effect, it helps to get it right.
.
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

I think he reads the premiership well. I think he keeps a pretty good equilibrium within his camp, and will exploit an oportunity within a game. Honest, says it as he sees it. Pretty steady.Originally posted by cream View PostHe'll be pleased to hear that.

I hope no-one thinks we'll be winning number 19 any soon.

Yeah, for fans used to seeing voronin and ngog on the bench Zamora would be a disaster! Boo Roy.Originally posted by liverpooltj View PostI dread to think who he signs from Fulham? Zamora? FFS
I will back him no doubt but i dont have to be happy about getting the gimp as manager!
I doubt he'd sign him anyway, but don't you think it's possible that he was working under different conditions at fulham and signed players accordingly? If you put Nigel clough in charge of Barcelona tomorrow I doubt he'd sign Robbia savage...

Both are still better players than Zamora.

The point though is to satirise the idea we may lose Torres and replace him with someone of much lower quality, not because of Hodgson but because the thieves in charge have stolen all the cash. However the appointment of a manager like Hodgson is taken by some of us to signal that this is what the club have settled for - Zamora level rather than Torres.
So it's not a straightforward example - it's a metaphor..

I agree, but let's not start vilifying or ridiculing Roy before he's even arrived. Regardless of whether he's the right choice, he's a respected, respectful, dignified man who's done nothing wrong yet. If he's appointed, slate the owners for lack of ambition but don't start attacking a blameless man,Originally posted by Neil Young View PostI think most of us realise that.
