The whole of the ESPN match day team are Anti Liverpool, John Champion revels in anything negative happening to us, and didnt shut up about Gerrard after the incident.

Joe Royle is a bitter blue, and Chris Waddle is not much better when they roll him out

Craig Burley was a **** player and is a **** pundit who loves to stick the boot in on us

And then Mark Wright who kept pointing out how much Rafa has spent and how we are no better off than when Houllier left.

Supposed to be an impartial analysis team!

finally finally finally rafa plays an attack minded team. babel, aqua, torres, gerard, maxi all in same team?!?!?!?! never thought id see it. he MUST now keep this team and the attack minded attitude / formation / line up for the remainder of the season. no two ways about it. we were a completely different team last night.
People who think there's no good way to die have obviously never heard the phrase 'Drug-fuelled-sex-heart-attack'.

Amid all this talk of Rafa suddenly realising the value of an attacking team , it seems to me some are paying no more than lip service to the fact that Portsmouth are bottom.

Fielding the same team on Sunday would be taking a punt on a very long shot.
              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Tut tut, let United worry about us, not us about them. We need to take the game to united, and not worry about them tearing us a new one as we leave gaps all over the place at the back.

Or, we are seeing Johnson, Torres and Agger returning to fitness, Maxi and Aquilani settling in and Babel finding some form?

Johnson coming in does wonders for our offense IMO.

On a possible down side, Gerrard will probably get a ban seeing as we play Manure on Sunday and apparently Mascha was limping at the end.
It matters not. Gerrard usually goes missing in the big games anyway.

wow different game, different team - what a bunch of knobheads (rafa and the players) how can you go from wigan to that in one week.

We played with some pace, passion, we kept the ball going forward in neat triangles, we filled the box when attacking, in one attack i counted 5 men in the box with a 6th arriving late in johnson and i jizzed in my pants.

Lets not carried away, pompey are ****e, and thats not going to paper over the cracks but at least it was enjoyable to watch for the first time in 6 months.

any links to the goals or elbow incident? my flat mate, who watched it at home, and who I always remember to sky plus the game for if he is out at work or something - forgot to sky plus it for me the cunt so couldn't watch it when i got back.
i own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

That was very pleasing indeed. I think Aquilani moves the entire team further forward actually, he should keep his place.

had to laugh - leaving the ground back to the car, we walked in silence - partly stunned, but mainly because we just had nothing to say - it's usually walking back saying ****ing this and ****ing that

Who gives a toss what they say?! would you be happy if all pundits were banging on about how exciting we are to watch, and how well we are doing in the league/cups? there's a reason they're not waxing lyrical about LFC at the moment and it's nothing to do with an "anti lfc media campaign" as some paranoid buffoons seem to think. Pundits say we're doing ****e because...........we ARE doing ****e!

we NEED to beat manure. we NEED to keep winning. we NEED to keep the same team. to change it for the manure game back to type ( boring / defensive / negative / no confidence ) would be a step in the wrong direction.
